Well I checked every autoparts  store in my area and nobody had the plugs so I had them ordered and should be here by tuesday. I will be checking the wires today and also filling it up with 93 octane so that should make a nice difference. Should I go with knn drop in filter or stock paper one? Also I will look at the bov mod too to make the turbos a bit more noticable. Anyone do this mod and habe issues after? From reading the tread nobody has issues but I am a bit nervous. Its my first turbo car and from reading stuff online everyone blows them up and now I am worried about even getting on it lol

If you tune with the 2 suggested (Livernois or Torrie) here you should have no worries on reliability. If you are worried these tuners have many milder tunes to start out with to ease your mind.

I'd suggest using some kind of device to allow you to monitor your car. This is the best piece of mind you can have I think on noticing anything going bad.

As for the filter, something new would be a good idea just so you know it's clean and working how it should. Don't think there's much of a difference in performance.

I will probably go with Torrie once I am ready to tune since I can datalog and he can set the tune exactly for my car. I did the same for my focus with a different tuner (Tom) and was happy. What device do you suggest to monitor the car?

Does one give it a bit more sound over the other? I dont like the idea of oiled filters and will look around for other options. I would like a bit of turbo sound tho, the car pretty much sounds n/a at this point.

Torque Pro is the app of choice so far to monitor. This only runs on android devices unfortunately. OBDII MX is best scantool ($100) and 7" tablets seem to be best size for display without being to big.

Run her to E fill 1/4 with some fresh 93, throw the plugs in, brake boost at 16-1900, hold on and enjoy the ride =] oh maybe take a few spare gallons extra to make it hope if you make alot of runs. Dont leave it in the car though!

Not familiar with these filter changes myself, but I do know that once tuned it will produce a better sound.

I have the k&n panel filter. There is no difference in sound than stock.
If you do the BOV bypass that will make a huge difference in that ppsssshhhh sound.

I don't believe the k&n filters as well as paper and I don't believe there is any issue with air flow at these power levels so I went back to stock box and filter. Best time was with OEM setup. There is currently a K&N Typhoon and panel residing on my garage floor.

Yup looks like i will stick to stock. I just put 93 octane and a new paper filter. The car feels so much smoother already. Didnt get on it but feels more powerful just cruising around. Now juat to do the plugs and the bov mod ;). Does anyone have the caps for the bov mod left? I will paypal u funds for them!

Just incase some of you have not seen my other thread. I got the hesitation issue fixed. It was cylinder #4 fuel injector starting to go bad. New injector in and the car feels good!

Off the subject, kind off, but I'm curious why people don't prefer using oiled filters like drop in k&n?
