Codes P2196 and P2198 for 2013 SHO after SHO's been sitting a while

Apparently my car doesn't like sitting. Haven't driven it for 3 weeks until today. Now I'm getting O2 sensor faults and my boost gauge stopped working...
13' SHO, Non-PP, Tuned by Torrie, Meth injection, 3 bar, 170* stat, custom axle back exhaust, Prosport Boost gauge.
15' F150 Lariat Sport, all the options, 3.5L Eco. (fiancée ride.)
13' GTCS, will be missed.

Just got done checking over everything. The plug going into the boost gauge unplugged itself. Assuming from contraction/expansion cycles of the cable since it's tight.


As for the 02 that's still unsolved. No wire damage since all the sensors produce data. Just says the first sensor in both banks is stuck rich.

I found it intresting that the SHO uses a 200amp HD alternator and the interceptor uses a more robust 220amp,but dont think its a heavy duty version.  Z               http://www.ford.com/fordpoliceinterceptor/features/#/durability/durability_02/

Whats in the fuel tank right now?  Checked for vacuum leaks/split piping?

On other Ford models, this points to a TSB for a stuck EVAP purge valve, possibly:

Inspect EVAP canister for liquid fuel.  If found, replace EVAP valve.

Another owner mentioned that Bosch replacements turned out to be junk, and Motorcraft parts fixed the problem.

I was afraid of this... I had two crap dealers try and fix this issue. One dealer installed the issues and the other "fixed it".

I guess I'll take it back in. :(

I guess based on your DTC'S it could be related to your front HO2S sensor(lack of switching)malfunctions or by shifts in the fuel system.  Z

Wass.... Good advice from Z and Manu.  Both the codes are related to a stuck or biased O2sensor for bank 2 ( the front 3 cylinders) of the engine.

A bad O2 sensor, a leaking injector, or a purge valve/canister are high possibilities. 

If you're wrenching yourself, I'd start at the O2 sensors... Maybe switch them and see if the code switches to bank 1.... If not I'd check the purge valve canister for liquid next.  The parts to replace all three of these should be $100 or so if you chose to do that... Depending on your odometer. I'd look at the injector last personally.
If you have a warranty or don't wrench I'd recommend a dealer trip.
Just my $0.02....

I would note that this is an important  kind of troubleshooting/maintenance topic that will be hard to find for others in the the future... Maybe it should be be moved to it's own thread?

Hard to think an O2 sensor is bad at 27k but I know anything is possible.

I will say that every time I fill fuel I have an extended crank time before it starts. It's been like that ever since they started messing with the fuel pump recall. I have just delt with it seeing as they always fight me on fixing the car.

It must be fuel system related since it's the only thing that has been continually problematic.

I might pull the purge valve on my own just to check it and save the trouble of a dealer visit.

With any luck it is right up against the firewall in the engine bay, just like in the Edge.
