Follow what SHOdded and BigMac advice was and sometimes its basic maintenance you have to do on these cars such as grab a can of MAF cleaner and remove both of the MAP sensors and clean them, overtime they get dirty, filled oil, dirt and deposits, also clean the IAT sensor also, its called preventative maintenance,i always carry a can or two and good luck.

If the dealer cant figure out what's going on and fix it under warranty I will datalog. I already have the laptop and the program installed from my previous car that I did dataloging for my tuner. I just did not know what I need to look for. I will keep in mind about the preventative maintenance. I never owned a turbo car before and now I am nervous reading about them having issues. Hopefully my SHO will treat me well after this is resolved. I tested it again this morning and it definitely skips/misfire when I go to manual mode in 2nd gear and floor it, starts around 4k and does it 2-3 times on the way up to 6k. I will baby it for the rest of the time until this is resolved.

And all this, with no codes or CELs?  No oil in the intake or intercooler?  I would definitely gap the plugs to 0.035 and test.  If that doesn't help, then the PTU might be suspect.

Good luck at the dealer :thumb:

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

No CEL, no oil leaks or in the intake/intercooler. Plugs are gapped to .035. PTU could make the car feel like its hesitating and skipping/misfiring? I hope they can figure it out tomorrow, I only had the car for about two weeks :(

It can definitely feel like it in the early stages.  Get them to put their best mechanic on it, not their quickie-lube intern guy.

Well I took it in about a hour ago. Took a drive with the mechanic driving and what a surprise it was not doing it as bad WTF!!!. He could still feel it a bit so he will diagnose it with the computer they use. I also told him about the PTU and that it could be an issue, but what a surprise he did not even know what PTU is, I had to explain it. I feel like I am about to waste my time at this place. I hope to god they find something once they hook it up to the computer. I told him to drive it again once it cools down a bit since this morning even after it warmed up it was doing it a lot but when he drove it, the car did it just a bit WTF? Is it me, am I cursed ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I will update this thread once they call me back lol.

When i visit the dealer and prior to any work performed under warranty usually the shop forman will drive and test the vehicle for approval for work to be done, ask for the shop forman if they dont find anything.

Agreed with Z.  Just don't take no for an answer, be politely persistent.

There is no way that they can say nothing is wrong but if they do I will be persistent. They still not call me so I am assuming they must have found something and are fixing it or still maybe trying to find the problem two hours later. We will see.

I just called them. They did all the diagnostics on the car and cant find anything wrong with it and had a shop forman drive it and he couldnt find anything wrong with it... wtf... i dont even know what to say they are all dumb. The mechanic even noticed it bit I guess they only go by what codes the computer pulls up otherwise they have no idea. I am so mad right now I dont even know what to do. I will have to go to a different shop this is redicules. Basically by saying nothing is wrong with it they are calling me dumb lol.

I don't know how many Gen IV SHOs they see in their shop.  Could very well be a lack of experience with these vehicles.  Anybody got recommendations for a good dealer service shop in IA?

I have two other Ford dealers in my area that can hopefully help and fix whatever the issue is. I just can't believe these guys are saying nothing is wrong and car drives as "normal" when you can feel and see it having issues. I will try to take a video after I pick it up and post it on here. I can always datalog but I would need to figure out what all needs to be logged. I have the datalog software set up on my laptop but that was for a previous car that was n/a, I am sure I need to log different things for the SHO.

Dealers are a huge waste of time for the most part.  The curse of having a car under warranty.

Tune it, gap correct plugs to .30 and see if that fixes it :)

SHOdded is correct in regards to the lack of experience with our cars,a valid point is prior to purchasing my car last year visited a few Ford dealers, first dealer had 0 in stock, second dealer had two, third dealer had four, most of the dealers in the net had none,so go figure.

When I was searching for my SHO I had to drive 2.5 hours away to pick it up. I know its used but I never seen an SHO in my area new at the dealer or used. Oh and to the other guy, I think I'd rather fix the issue first before getting it tuned and having the warranty voided with a broken car already. I will have to try the other dealers and hope for the best.

Maybe you can have one of our IA members drive your car, see what they think?

The service reviews on dealerrater.com don't look promising

Normally, I would say try a Lincoln dealership, but they are so few and far-between nowadays.
