The SHO does really well in the slippery stuff, and this is with 40% tread remaining on my fronts (Michelin Primacy's)
I have owned several AWD/4WD vehicles out here in Colorado, and I can say the SHO is among the best.
Awards for the best go to my 2009 WRX with snow tires. Subaru's AWD is stellar, and with snow tires, the little WRX was a total beast.
Second best: 2010 Xterra Off-Road with Hankook Dynapro AT-M's. WRX wins in confidence in up to 8 inches of snow, for anything more... nothing will stop the Xterra. I can plow through 2 feet of snow in the Xterra.
The SHO however is very predictable in the snow, and you can feel the rears kicking in to bail you out. With new tires all around, the SHO will be right up there in the top 5.
