I took my plate off a month or so ago.  I'm an outlaw.

IL also requires front plates. However, I have not had a front plate on my Mustang, F-150, or SHO going back to 2002. No tickets and only asked about it by law enforcement twice. I think your safe to take it off.

Me too!  I'm in NY  and a front plate is required here also. I think I'll ask a state trouper friend how likely I'd be to get ticketed if I deplating the front.

Funny, that image, as you can tell, is an older pic.

Stock wheels, white roof, front plate still intact, also, not that it's visible.....

But this was also pre-methanol, pre-DP's, pre a whole lot of things.

Very neat but also awkward when people find images of my car posted in venue's that I am totally unaware of.....
