From what I have read, yes it needs a tune to run.

I'm gonna email LMS... if I have to have the LMS tune to run the HPFP, like I have stated, unless they BLOW AWAY my current tune... not worth the money..for my plans with this vehicle.

HPTuners has a section for tuning the parameters of the HPFP, so I doubt its something super special ONLY Livernois can do. Knowing them they will refuse to give real specification on the pump though, so to properly tune for it you may have to disassemble it to get its volume.

Michael, yes we are developing that hpfp pump, we do have a tune for that pump, if your other tuners can build a tune for the pump than you can buy pump alone and they can tune, I would check with them to make sure they can calibrate for the new pump, if you put the pump on the SHO, it will not run woth the factory calibration if you have to go into the dealer for service, Dave

What is the deal with the confusion with extreme-DI and LMS.  I know I've seen a previous post from LMS staying they are developing their own and it is not the same as the RTR pumps.  What pump was LMS referring to when they said they are developing "that" pump.

I was unaware there was a previous discussion about it. LMS tends to rebrand stuff, had I known there was already a thread about that aspect I wouldn't have brought it up. However, the original intent of this thread was that extreme DI had listed the SHO pump as available...

Not directing any ill will towards you, if the x-di pump was available like the website seemed to imply this is certainly worth posting.  Thanks for the leg work you've done.

I didn't know about an upgraded di pump solution until this thread. So thank you. I didn't even know that lms already had one available for the f-150.

Extreme-DI was unable to provide pricing or flow rates yet as its too early... but I am on a list they will email when they have it. Good communication from those guys. I will update as soon as I found out.

Awesome!!! More options!! If you can't tell I'm really stoked about it!

There should be 2 pumps also...regular upgrade, and a severe duty upgrade.

Speculation on pricing is 1599 & 2399....that's just speculation, and could change as R&D unfolds more

That's what Anthony told me as well. Good to hear the same from someone else.
