After my inspection I heard a weird noise. Seemed to be coming from the fan. Sound in video. After a lot of scratching the head, I didn't hear it again when first starting a trans drain and fill yesterday. Once the car warmed up I heard that noise again. With the car held at 3,000 rpm the noise was present but unaffected by engine speed(didn't vhange). More scratching the head later, this am I decided to try and determine if indeed it was coming from the fan. Like a smart little forum member I disconnected the fan and did a cold start. No noise. I waited until coolant was 194...still no noise I then reconnected the fan...fan kicks in immediately and there's the noise again.
Removed the fan(with a lot of 4 letter words) and found these suckers! Pain in my ass but worth every second as this was an easy fix.
