Stay away from anything Hennessy!  They do not have a good reputation with the Ecoboost engines and have had many engine failures. Plus their stuff is way to expensive...you will be better served getting work done by Unleashed Tuning or Livernois Motorsports, both have done a ton of work and experience with the Ecoboost and have proven their work to be safe and work great.
X2
I also had the PP vs ACC decision.... since it's a DD, ACC won.  PP or NonPP... The SHO is a blast to drive!

...True if left stock... not challenge... just fact.  fastest/quickest SHOs on record are nonPP....  'nuff said on this ancient topic... old discussion with little point.

I have not seen anything explicity spelling this out, just a lot of non-PP owners jumping in and saying it is not true.

Okay...

This dead horse again?

Who cares about a tenth of a second?
There are multiple other, legitimate areas which make PP equipped SHOs advantageous over non.

Not necessarily for a daily driver, whcih many of us use these cars for....

Bologna. Fully disabling TC nannies is worth the added expense alone, in addition to the additional cooling on PP equipped SHOs.

The only downside I found with the PP was that you can't get it with ACC, or I would have gotten it...just wish both were available together....

again, everyone won't be taking their car to the track on a monthly or even yearly basis.  Some of us just want a sleeper that can over take 90% of other cars at a stop light or wide open highway and 97.5% of them with a tune.

IDK if its the same in the MKS, but the only time i wanted to turn 'Advance-Trac' off (which is an option) is when I'm playing in deep snow in an empty parking lot.

the PP SHO is great especially for a more serious enthusiast, but the ride is stiffer than stock and is not everyone's preferrence, particularly if you drive it everyday.

It think it is well established that the PTU overheats quite easily, seeing as it has only a dollop of gear oil in it, and it does so, not with tracking, but simply spirited street driving. Do you accelerate heavily from a stop? I'm sure most of us do. And that's all it takes. The aux cooler will certainly stave off overheating of the oil, even on the street.

Aux cooling, plus frequent oil changes and I think that peace of mind is worthy of PP premium expense.

Let's not forget, there's aux oil and trans coolers as well on the PP SHO.

And again, when wanting to juice a little more fun out of my car, it's nice to not have overbearing traction nannies. I can't even hammer it out of a turn with them on, because they'll ruin the experience.

And perhaps you're right, becasue my SHO currently isn't a DD.

PP on a SHO is where it is at and I do drive mine as a daily driver.

Actually, if I am getting a Used SHO... How will I be able to tell if its PP or not? I mean they are fast and heavy cars , so what are the tell tells? :o
