Gotta take in for first service. .. ????

It's that time car finally reached the mileage to take in for first service... would u guys recommend returning to stock tune. .. I personally think I'll be fine when they do oil changes I doubt they plug into computer at all.. any thought

I would take the two minutes and go back to stock just to be safe.

I always tell them not reflash my ECM of change my flash strategy when I take mine in.

My cousin works for ford and says they dont check stuff like that unless its a major failure IE blown engine trans. HOwever its better to be safe and return to stock just in case.

Probably the best to flash back to stock then, if they update you, you get the latest stock tune saved when you put your tune back......so you have it if you trade/sell.

The advice below is sound... however, When Flash memory (in your ECU) is erased it leaves a"ghost" that Ford engineers can find if there is a major failure and they look.  For any computer the data is just taken off the directory and may or may not be overwritten.  The regular ODBII machines can tell how may times the port has been accessed and when, but not why... but tell them you have an MX or you check at Autozone for problems, etc., if they should ask.

Thanks guys duly noted next time I will just return to stock jus t to be safe I actually left it alone today but in the future I will be switching over
