Really don't have much to add, save for I was in the same position a couple of weeks ago. I shopped the new market pretty heavily for a loaded +PP show. The +PP broke the bank for me (or, my wife rather), shopping new. However, when it came to pre-owned, the package options lose alot of their ability for the seller to levy price premiums. So, I feel like the +PP came as a bargain for me, and at only 8K miles on the odo.
My point is, I guess, like already mentioned above, it kind of comes down to cost. If it is something the dealer is asking a large premium for (ignoring sticker price), it may not be worth it, especially seeing as you're not looking to track the car.
**EDIT
Forgot to mention. I did drive both a new non PP SHO and a +PP SHO, both with 20" wheels, and I personally feel like the ride in the non PP was considerably more supple. Something to factor in, if that's a deal breaker for you.
