93Cobra have you checked to see if a re-flash is available from the dealer, sometimes a software update can help with the issues your having,it all depends on the build date which can be checked with IDS software if it indeed needs reprogramming.  Z

Thats actually good advice..my car is a 2014 and there is actually 3 updates...u can see the strategy for your car on the motorcraft service site...sometimes the changes are small but u never know....the second update for my car literally contained 1 change...i had sct add it to my license so i could open the stock tune

It is actually up to date on strategy. They can't fix the condensate issue via tuning. That was one major thing the f150 group learned.

Have you seen my video on you tube? I literally had a 1/2" of fuel/oil at the bottom of my cac and never had these issues.
That was my reason for a catch can.

Actually they can....they modify the "allowable wheel torque error" scalar...it prevented limp mode when the motor ingested the water condensate causing the misfires which caused limp mode and reduced power

My goal is to eliminate the condensate. The hole is my only option.

I will be drilling the intercooler at the lower corner closest to the front of the car. I will get new plugs (gapped at .028) in at the same time and that should keep the car from stuttering anymore. I won't feel safe until I get that done.

There are plenty of options besides punching a hole in a pressurized system that may or may not be causing problems.

Once again, got any logs of this "shudder"?

Consider a stopcock at least. This could create a whole new set of problems related to sensors reading overboost situation.

It won't cause problems- I did this same thing on the eco F150 and had no issues. If you look at the f150 forums you will find that most owners have done this and have had no loss of performance and issues went away.

I can show you plenty of datalogs of poorly running and tuned cars that exibit no detectable problems to the operator

You may not feel or notice anything but that doesnt mean there arent negative effects due to a hardware modification

Sorry - plenty recommend this... Even tuners.

It might shock you to know that there are very bad TOONERS among us.....well this tuner doesnt reccomend it

It would scare you if you knew what i knew....its a good thing i have integrity and discretion and am not in the business of exposing things otherwise this forum would get alot more busy

Big name tuners plus Ford Techs recommend this. Only way to evacuate the system.

66 Galaxie

After you drill and drain I would tap it and plug it or put a valve on it so it is not a constant boost leak.  Then drain it every oil change if you want.

Although it may seem to run fine with the small hole you make you need to remember that even a small boost leak can lead to problems down the line.

So you know Ford techs advise customers to alter their hardware possibly voiding their warranty?

Post up the tuner names or BS
