Well finally got to Cecil County dragstrip for the first time. I was very different for sure. Lighting for night racing sucked. They only had lighting on the far side of the track and it didn't light the track up very good. Had hard time seeing the center timing blocks. I guess since it was nice out for Nov. there was ALOT of cars there. Believe it or not there were 2 other SHO's there. One was a black Gen5 and a silver Gen4. The black SHO was I think just tuned only, he said he had Unleashed and when he had the hood open, didn't see any mods.  I ran him my first run, his was 13.053 @ 106.5, mine was 12.633 @ 109.23.  I think the silver one was tuned, but not sure by who, it ran 13.14. The fueling station was AWESOME, think they had just about everything VP Racing has, all in 55 gal drums, including MS109, 8-).    I think the Yoko's on the car are too hard, they are A/S with tread ware of 560, so even with tire pressure down to 23, still had major tire spin.  Lost little over a hr of time shots due to a shower that can thru, so only got one more time shot.  So the MS didn't get to mix well, its was worth a shot.  Glad I got the car to there before winter hit, now I wont be chomping at the bit to get her out.  Here is how the night went.

Great time, Brian, well done!  Yeah, the cars are kind of a blur on the track :(
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I have the fastest time on Cecil. 12.5 @ 113. I don't live in PA anymore now.

Yeah, I was watching your YouTube videos to figure out what my car would run.   Didn't like how they had the track lite at night.

I agree, lighting was interesting! :)

I loved it out there; definitely miss it since I moved to Florida. I'm afraid to run the car for fear it's going to be a 13 second car in this humidity LMAO.

The mods are that; I dyno'd at 367 but that was before 3-bar, colder plugs, and downpipes. I never had another done but I did go from like a 12.8 to 12.5; I also got rid of my F1's and was running Continental DSW's. I would run myself so I had about 1/8 of tank left (Sunoco not too far). I didn't use air filter; I went around the water stage and just did a 2.2k RPM boost launch to clear it.

That's about it. Turn off traction control stuff and leave it in drive.

If you saw my video; been awhile I think both 12.5 runs are on it--one was me and other was my buddy TJ who drove my car right after me as I was in shock and honestly thought their equipment was broken.

Yeah, I figured traction at the start was an issue for me.  Car had Yoko's AVID A/S on it now, far amount of tire spin at launch.  Launched the car between 2-2200, still figuring out this digital tach.   Did like the track, I prob wont be back down till next spring.

I launched at 1800 from line. 2200 for clearing the tyres before I lined up.

i have the black 13.. lol, the other was my buddy. my best was a 12.9 @107 my tune was a little weak though. torrie had it knocked back for 30 degree weather, then we ended up with 70 degrees and humid. i was running out of fuel pressure because of outside temps. just a tune and k@n panel filter. my buddy has a lms 2 bar and a cai, he ran a 12.89 @107 his first run. i bolted when the rain came. kids were getting tired.

Jeez, I move to Florida and suddenly all these SHO's come out of the wood works at Cecil.

Was everyone just afraid to come around because of me?

I don't think I stink.

LOL

Lol.. Just got mine end of February... Have a 93 mustang also, before the sho I always had foxbodys at Cecil. Been going for 20 years or so. It used to be way more crowded bamsho.. All the staging lanes were full back in the day, all the way up and around the corner. I will take it like the way it was Friday anytime.

Yeah I moved here year ago. When I use to go on weekends it was like that. Backed up all way around corner. I was lucky to get at least 3 runs in. I loved it and the car always turned heads. Especially when her big butt ran 12.5 and smashed a tuned 5.0 Coyote. That poor guy was not happy. He just couldn't pull past me.

I haven't tried any tracks down here in Florida yet. My girl is tired with 60k on clock. She got driven a lot when I lived in PA. I worked for hospitals so I was always driving to NJ, Delaware, etc.

Nice! I bought mine new and it's been tuned since mile 19. She's been great no issues. She definitely built miles on highway. I am no stranger to the turn pike LOL.
