Ecoboost quit after going over railroad track

So I was driving home from work and hit railroad tracks a little rough but nothing crazy. Advance track, trailer wiring, low oil pressure warnings all came up and engine shut off. I disconnected the battery for like 10 mins to see if it would reset computer. Worst part is i couldn't get the tune to return to stock. The tuner said error when trying to unlock processor.  Check engine light was on but I couldn't get the tuner to read it or clear it. I had to get it towed to Ford. Anyone had anything like this happen?

Usually, a faulty wheel speed sensor will set off the AdvanceTrac warning light and a bunch of others.  In this case, though, it sounds like the PCM shorted out, possibly due to wiring issues.  Hope Ford takes care of your truck!

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I don't like the sound of that... Anything computer related I feel like they will blame the tune. I guess Monday I will find out.

With any luck they won't be able to tell WHAT's on the PCM, just maybe it's been flashed/reset.

That's what I was thinking if it did short maybe it fried everything. But radio and windows gauges still work. Just nothing when the key is turned

Windows and radio/MFT don't depend on the ECM. If the latter fried you should be OK. I would check connections to be sure nothing is loose or corroded.

Check the grounds. A few ford vehicles have grounding problems because sometimes the grounds are connected to painted parts

I hope its something simple like reprograming the PCM to the latest software,hopefully you get her back to the stable a.s.a.p, BTW any evidence of any noises prior to this happening. Z

Nothing it was running perfectly, hit the bump over the tracks and everything lit up the engine was just idling at first with no power than about 50 yards later low oil pressure lit up and shut the engine off.

There are quite a few of TSB related to your truck,but no recalls which has me a bit surprised,any recent visits to the dealer or car wash,or rain lately,water sometimes buildup inside the CAC causing these similiar symptoms. Z      http://www.carcomplaints.com/Ford/F-150/2013/tsbs/

Actually I did just go through a car wash, I usually hand wash. However isn't the water build up problems in the intercoler? I have my blowoff pipe removed. I sealed the cai with a rubber grommet where the reciculate pipe connects

I hope its something simple as mentioned earlier,could be a TSB,re-program the PCM,and a updated redesigned CAC that addresses the water,moisture buildup,if the issue is not addressed it will sometimes escalate to a computer overide that puts the truck into limp mode,which then kills all engine power,good luck and keep us updated.  Z

Well just for informational purposes, it turned out to be the starter fuse? That's what they told me at least. I don't understand why a starter fuse would shut the truck down, or why going over a bump blows a fuse. Sounds like a loose wire that grounded out if it actually was a fuse.
