Hello all,
I have a 2014 Taurus SHO, almost exactly 1,000 miles on it (and about 2 months old, if that).
Since I first got it, I noticed something odd. For the first 20 seconds of driving or so, the car sort of "chugs". Actually, that's not the right way to describe it. It's almost like you have one foot on the gas (lightly) and the other is pumping the brakes, like a hesitation or something. It goes away relatively quickly and once it goes away, the car is 100% fine.
Today, though, I experienced something totally different. After driving the car for a couple of minutes, I turned the corner and hit the accelerator hard - maybe not 100% WOT but close. And...nothing happened. Literally, the car didn't move, it was like it just shut off. I quickly let up on the pedal, then hit it again and the car took off like I expected it to the first time.
I don't want to panic or overreact but I'm somewhat worried that something is wrong. However, no engine light came on so I'm not sure what the dealer can do, especially since this was the first (and so far, only) time this happened. Any advice?
