Ford issues new recalls

Yup, called my dealer today and I'm taking mine in next week. I would rater not have my shaft fall out while I'm driving.

Scheduled my inspection for this Saturday. Sucks I have to drive 100 miles one way to get it looked at.
13' SHO, Non-PP, Tuned by Torrie, Meth injection, 3 bar, 170* stat, custom axle back exhaust, Prosport Boost gauge.
15' F150 Lariat Sport, all the options, 3.5L Eco. (fiancée ride.)
13' GTCS, will be missed.

My 10-12 build 2013 PP has the recall notice on owner. Ford. Com.

What % will need this replaced?

Ant nobody got time to take their car to the dealer for service!

Had my car at the dealer last week for some service and warranty work. One of the issues being a clicking noise. They inspected my car per the recall and it met the criteria for the recall. They ordered the parts. Hoping I get a call tomorrow.

They weren't sure if the clicking noise was related to the recall or not though.

There is a tsb on the clicking. They need to add a washer on he half shaft at the hub.

Is it when you turn?

Video on 5th post.  Paperwork on last page showing fix.  Washer tsb didn't help, needed hubs.  Others with PP owners had same experience.

my hubs clicked pretty loud. Had the TSB done it went away. It's back but barely audible now.
2013 PP SHO LMS 93V10 tune, 170* T stat, 3bar, K&N drop in, plugs re-gapped, 4in exhaust tips.
UPDATE - 130K miles =blown engine. Unleashed tune and EBPP upgrade turbo billet wheels / Turbo Smart WGA's on a bran new long block. Let's get this SHO on the road !

Can anyone get a hold of the ford recall instructions?  I looked at mine and the cv hub is fully engaged around and over the intermediate shaft. I want to see what they are going to look at or if it's simple as that.

This is what you need to check for. The shaft exhibited a harsh vibration under half to full throttle for approximately 100 miles before it did this. I don't think you or anyone else can inspect for this. The spring system failed inside the cv cup which allowed the axle shaft to pop off of the intermediate shaft. If the spring system is failing internally but the retention clip is still holding the axle shaft on the intermediate splines, how in the world can someone inspect this. In my experiance, it takes a good deal of effort to separate them. So unless they are separating the splines and checking the CV cup's integrity during this inspection, I feel bringing your car in could be a waste of time. But that's just my opinion.

Great.... I hope they don't just look at it from afar and say... yep its still there... then a year from now when I'm in the mountains carving up the road it will just fall off the spline.

If most importanly its a safety issue,shouldnt they address this issue at least by notifying each ford owner by mail,and not for us to learn about here or on tv,i was never informed about a minor recall a while ago regarding tail light recall until i made appt for an oil change.

Used to be we'd get a letter for each recall, but that was years ago.  Now you have to keep yourself updated at owner.ford.com.  Probably should make it a habit to check in monthly anyway :)

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Thanks SHOdded,i guess im just a little bit old fashioned,i guess going GREEN is more important than a half shaft falling apart,then lawsuits and injuries etc.
