Stupid question, are you still using your third cat or have a X-pipe installed?

IF so, why would only one side smoke?

John
No third cat and I really don't know why only one side would smoke, but it very well might be turbo related.

So if your exhaust piping never crosses over then you definitely know its the rear bank.  If I was a betting man, I would say Turbo.

Does it still smoke with the stock down pipes?

Did not get a chance to test if it smokes with the stock downpipe before I dropped it off. Shop foreman is taking it for a drive right to try and get it to smoke.

Just heard back from the dealership and they could not get the vehicle to reproduce the emission of smoke from the passenger side tailpipe. I currently have the stock downpipes installed and I am starting to think that the smoke is lonely attributable to the catless downpipes. Here is the post that is very similar to my experience:

Anyone have some thoughts on this?

So the dealership has had the car for two days and can not make the vehicle smoke out the exhaust. So at this point I have to attribute the smoking to the PPE catless downpipes that are now off the car. If someone is looking for catless downpipes I will have some for sale very shortly.

If the smoke is contributed to the DP,i will take that any day, compared to a bad turbo or internal engine issues, did they install all the gaskets on the DP,good luck and have a good holiday.

All in all it is a good thing, but at the same time I am not very excited about paying all this money for the downpipes plus install to get nothing but problems. I really turned off by the car now and might have to officially commit to selling it.

I've replied to your downpipe thread, it's not the downpipes you have oil leaking from your turbos causing the smoke, your stock cats are just burning it off, the catless ones won't.

You should tell them to remove the down pipe and inspect the turbo for oil leaks.
