Horse Hockey.  I've heard of F-150's having an intercooler problem but never a SHO/MKS.  More lawyers causing more problems than they solve.

Agreed.  Have heard of the issue with F150's, and supposedly the fix by Ford.  Never ever heard of this issue in a transverse application.  And have never ever experienced this in either of my vehicles.  Sounds like a lawyer about to get rich, and little or nothing to the plaintiffs.

Need to go to a you lose you pay type of court system, would get rid of 90% of the bullshit lawsuits.

I will tell you first that I am biased... If I have a problem I'll deal with it and don't often approve of most class actions I see.
This is clearly a solicitation for a class action lawsuit that has not been filed.  Common practice these days. (No dis TSS... I have two attorneys that I use regularly).  In my personal experience, with friends and medical issues, the injured party often doesn't receive much compensation (not enough to cover damages) after it's all said and done... these aren't inexpensive things to run.... but if they joined the class, they lose the right to litigate as individuals for your own damages.

I will call them out of interest... to see what they say my "damages" might be... The add alludes to the fact that my damage may be some amount of the money I paid for the SHO....     If so.... I'm inclined to echo Dave's post rather than contribute to increasing the cost of a vehicle that seems to generally serve me well.

Has anyone here ever had the "limp home" issue in the solicitation.  I personally have never seen this here or on any forum in the SHO, so I don't believe at this time that it is common... that is to say they may be "fishing".

I would also be interested in TSS's views on this.

LOL, the intercooler is not a DEFECT.

Drive harder, stupid.

This is how turbos work.
I don't have an EB but I am an avid modder and happy to help the community and learn/grow.  Pretty good with audio and wheels, my build and discussion threads are here in the forum.  2013 Flex AWD N/A

If this were a real problem, some of us, as a significant portion of transverse V6 owners would have experienced it by now...

Perhaps to the point... even if the intercooler will not provide "race car" performance without failing... as many parts of many cars.

I still  will call, as it is of interest to me and, if actually filed and settled, could cause me and countless others money related to increased build costs, IC replacements, and product liability insurance which Ford might incur.  Still if it's a really valid point....
However at this time maybe the thread title should be "Possible Lawsuit Regarding Possible Intercooler Defect"

I still pose the same question....

I think this was an F150 issue and has been solved with a TSB.  There was some modification done to the intercooler, IIRC.  I have NEVER heard of it in a transverse application.

Just saying, those of us here are a rather small sampling of the EB powered vehicles, and most of us are more knowledgeable them most on our vehicles, so I don't know what's going on with people who just buy and drive their EB powered vehicles...heck, I've only seen about 4-5 other SHO's (other then bamsho's) and those drivers didn't seem interested in talking about their vehicles or even waving to another SHO...so there may be a problem that we don't know about in untuned stock vehicles, that we just aren't seeing, just don't know.

I've heard the same thing f 150  when they first came out my friend was looking to buy an F 150 there was a lot of talk on the forums about hesitation, and performance issues and I think gas mileage

If you read the articles you will see that this is a class action lawsuit involving multiple law firms and it HAS been filed .

All 3.5 EB vehicles are involved .

Do a generic google search " 3.5 ecoboost intercooler limp home " for discussion on this.

I found out about this because I was googling SHO 3.5 intercooler , looking for a " maybe " solution to an upgrade path .

Sorry, but unless the Intercooler in question is going through a divorce or having an issue with custody, I am not your man on this one.

If Ford had not issued the TSB and addressed the IC issue, there MIGHT have been some basis for a lawsuit.  Not the case here.  Dismiss the "lawsuit" already.

I wish I could say the same for the throttle body problems on the Edge.  Thankfully not commonplace, but still officially un-recognized & un-addressed.
