Alright guys! I have been very busy since the beginning of the year. It is that period of the year in my job that I need to put the hours... it is more quiet during the summer (portfolio manager/investment advisor).
But, I found the time to look into the new 2014 Ford Explorer Sport (can't get enough of that 3.5L EB engine lol)... And I am supposed to sign the documents tomorrow and will leave them the Lincoln MKT of my wife (2010 EB with 67K miles on it)... I just love the new Explorer (I like the Lincoln mostly for its luxury and its performance, but never digged the outside look that much).
So, it will be my fourth 3.5L EB in the last 3 years! lol Gotta love it! Probably not the best Financial decision, but it makes me happy and I don't want to end up to have to pay high maintenance fees on a Lincoln without waranty and with higher mileage.
The Sprot Explorer usually takes 4 months for delivery, but mine will arrive Jan 27th. My vendor (friend and client of mine) had ordered 6 of them knowing he could sell them easily, so I am getting the first of 6.
It is going to be pearl white (unless I dip it lol), fully loaded except dvd's (2K$ option not worth the price imo).
I will upload pictures when I get it...
I will try not to tune it for the first year, so that the next year I will have a bigger smile when I tune it...

Excellent overall vehicle.  We didn't get the DVD's or the glass roof.  I've never had good experience with those types of roofs.

You are correct! Less than a year... Loved it but maybe just a bit too much mileage on it for me to feel comfortable keeping it any longer.
No warranty and I heard a bit of whining that could come from tranny... I prefer the next buyer to find out what is the issue lol...
For the next 4 years, I will be paying 285$ more per month, but all maintenance is prepaid (from oil change to brakes, wipers etc.).
The other one could have cost me an average of 2k$ per year in maintenance. So in terms of cashflows, roughly 100$ more per month to drive a 2014 with peace of mind.
I convinced myself it was not a bad financial decisions lol

Just got back from Mexico yesterday. I did get the ESport just before I left. Actually, I got it and the next day I parked it for 10 days at the airport lol.
I will post pictures very soon. I love it so far!

I changed computer and lost pictures. Here are a few pocs of the new 2014 Sport Explorer fully equipped (excepted for dvd's) in pearl white. I like it very much. Not the same quality of interior as the MKT we had, but I like its exterior look better:
