Hey guys,
Need help troubleshooting why VVT isn't engaging when it should...
Background - started doing some logging with AJP for my Edge Sport to see how quick we can make the platform. This was back in December. Go through a couple of revisions on 93, feels great!
So then on to E30, on the third revision I feel a little hiccup in boost and am like whatever...
But then I add more octane to get more out of it and the hiccup gets progressively worse and worse.
So I switch back to E30 Unleashed and it doesn't have the hiccup but the boost is about 2 psi more in 3rd then drops quick higher in RPM where the original file wasn't doing that.
I go back to 93 and it is still there on the AJP tune.
Only think changed was the DV+ but it didn't show up when I initially installed so I figured that was out (I also am getting a stock on in soon to swap). After reading a bunch of stuff online I see the less pulling acceleration starts when my In I start seeing the hiccup more... , everything is great and then all of a sudden I start feeling boost surges/drops out of nowhere.
I think it may be my diverter valve since I upgraded to the GFB DV+ while doing runs but didn't show any signs of issues with boost until maybe a month later after install. I figured that this is most likely my Variable Valve Timing going to 0 as that is exactly when I feel the car not pull as hard. Unfortunately I didn't log this in the beginning but now have.
Any idea's as to what to check to fix the VVT just going back to TDC during the middle of a run? Logs attached for reference.
3rd gear runs rev8 and 19 are with issue
Datalog 2_21 is when I didn't have the issue with boost / VVT
