thread sealant replacement ?

Can anyone recommend a thread sealant that is Meth safe ? apparently i beeck'd it and lost my tube of goo from SNOW ..

I used the regular white plumbers tape on my Alky kit... works great! Julio had already pre-wrapped some of the connectors with it.

Really?! The teflon tape? Snow was adamant that is a no no ..

From my experience with nitrous kits, tape is a no no because it can shred as you thread in the fitting and you may not know. Could block the orifice.

I have always stuck with TFE or PTFE paste. You can usually find at a hydraulic supply store locally or it can be ordered on line.

X2 on the white plumbers tape which is cheap yet effective with the (exception) pre-Nozzle. Z
sholxgt is correct,depending on the orifice you do not want tape near the nozzle.
What size Jet are you running with ?

running the 375ML nozzle. I Swapped from the 175 and when i did it i could not find my goo.. Now that i plan on running pure meth sealing it is paramount.

the only leak i currently have is on the nozzle connector to the elbow mount ..

I assume tape here == bad

That seems really permanent. Not sure you could ever take it back apart or change the angle if needed.

I see that's what the recommend also, but surprised since it's an adhesive, not a sealant.

The stuff that I pulled off the threads of the 175 nozzle was like super strong rubber cement. It lines up with the goo that came with it. But I was also surprised by the more permanent nature of it as well.

/Shrug/

Since I will be running 100% meth I will go with it as I cannot have a leak in the engine bay, it would ignite I think being that close to the exhaust.

Always start about 2 threads back from the beginning of the pipe/ nozzle etc. Same goes for tape or paste. Also beware of excessive layering. 10 layers of PTFE tape will just shred off as you threat it in. I usually test fit the components first to see how many turns it takes before they start to see resistance. 2-4 turns of tape is usually what it takes.
