What the others said, you need to datalog and get it dialed it. This is what bothers me about some of the tuners here, they charge $x for the base tune and the $x to datalog. I think that's just crazy, no matter how good they claim it to be, I'm from a world where $x gets you your tune and unless you are willing to datalog you know it's gonna suck, pretty much just enough done to turn off the CELs.

Where are you located?

What tuner charges money for the datalog? I know they charge $xyz dollars for the tune but from what I understand, the revisions are free.

don't want to call anyone out, but I've seen a few that have "stages" of tunes and their lower stage tunes appear to not allow for datalogging, and they charge to even review a datalog if you have a problem it seems, and then to datalog for a performance revision it's an extra $100.
That's one Hungary a** Charlatan-Tuner IMO. Z

Wow.... I have three different tuners... and none of them charge for revisions unless you do something stupid and add meth... which I understand because that's a major revision.. or basically a custom one off tune...

$100 for a revision?????! You could go with Torrie if you already have the tuner for $150 with unlimited revisions or AJPTurbo (I personally recommend) for similar pricing I am sure....

Your getting screwed...

AJP is da man.  Loving my Current AJP Tune.  I thought the Car felt good with his initial tune from stock, then I sent him a log and got the revisions going.

Yeah

:rofl2: This one had me rolling

AJP has been really good about tuning. I can't compare with anyone because I have never dealt with any other tuner but AJP always answers any questions I have and explains things nice and easy for me. Glad I went with him.

He is the only one who does that I know of... I also have Torrie and LMS... neither answer questions about their tunes for the most part...

I guess I am going to have to invest in an SCT device and work with Brad on my Continental.   I have been so patient with LMS and already have their MyCal but it doesn't look like there will be a tune from them anytime soon.   When I reached out to Torrie, his response was "contact SCT."   His response was fast, though.  :)

On topic, I ran at Woodburn yesterday 19 times in under 4 hours since fixing my boost hoses.   Best Run of night was 13.02 then was 13.2x all night long for another 10 runs beacuse  my iat2 temps were 140-ish..and a few slower when I was experimenting with launches.

Da was 1100-1300 for the evening...

So when looking at your times remember you need to correct for DA in addition to getting a dataLog.

Correcting for DA my 13.2 drops to a approximately 12.9x

Sounds like what happened to me. I bought my 2015 sho in the summer of 2014. I contacted Torrie about if a tune was available for this new a car and he assured me it was ok. It wasn't. SCT didn't have the calibration in their database for a 2015 yet so I sit with the sct tuner I purchased from Torrie but no tunes. Torrie had me contact SCT who told me it could be up to 6 months before they have the calibrations. The next day LMS had a MyCal at my door overnight with a tune for my car already loaded. Torrie didn't offer me a refund so I had to sell the unused sct for a loss.

Sorry to get off topic.  Those runs sound very decent considering 92 octane and the DA.

I was happy with it.  The IAT2 stuck at 140 the whole time so I expected the times I received.  Now that I understand how the spark tables work (thank you AJP) I can race and enjoy the fun more.
