Does anyone have a access to a writeup on reinstalling your upper intake manifold (3.5 ecoboost 2010+)?

Torque settings and such?

Should be very much like that for the MKS/T in this document

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

anyone know if the gaskets (which are more like o-rings) are reusable?

So.... yeah... I don't know why this leak is happening. I torqued everything to spec and the gaskets that are there are good.

it's coming from a pipe that runs from the bottom of the thermostat housing, straight into the engine. I haven't even been able to figure out what that part is called?!?

maybe the flange where the intake can next to it is bent?  maybe there's a gasket that's not listed on the replacement gaskets for the intake? all I know is the moment I poured in coolant it started leaking from there.

Any suggestions, ideas, names of parts? anything that can point me in the right direction!?!

Looks like it may not be seated fully, other than that, I would consult a dealer or wait for other to chime in regarding a gasket. best of luck.

Did you take the TStat housing off?  Made sure the gasket is on the housing side not the engine side?  That's all I can think of ATM.

Should be seated... i torqued it to spec... but there can always be issues... just don't want to crack the intake manifold by over torquing...

Na... never took it off... just removed the intake as a whole...

The pipe i am talking about is under the intake where the thermostat is...

Was it leaking from there before?

No... i am wondering if i might have bent it when i was taking out the manifold

To me it doesn't look seated properly. Were you prying at the piece to get it off? They don't bend that easily.

there was a point where i lifted the rest of the manifold while i was trying to pull it out... not realizing that it was still connected... i may have left it sitting at that angle for a few minutes... i am thinking that i will remove the manifold again and then, contrary to the service manual's suggestion, seat those 2 bolts COMPLETELY, b4 i seat the rest... see how it turns out, and go from there
