Does anyone have an idea of the repair cost to replace a fuel injector?

Dealership, i mean Stealership, quoted me 2K to replace 1 injector and all 6 spark plugs.

Also, from what I have briefly read, it is it advised to replace all 6 injectors?

Car has 118K miles on it.

Wow im in the wrong business..so thats how they build these dealerships eh...

I typically dont like local family owned grease ball shops but i wouldn't hesitate to grab some plugs and an injector and let them have at it 2k is sick

I dunno when I had a Talon none of the local dealerships could figure out the issue. Couple good ole boys with a dirty unorganized shop handled it in short order.

How many hours of labor was quoted?

And replace all 6, yes.  One goes, the others will follow soon enough.  Do you want to pay for labor each time?

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Really. Thanks crazy. If u go to a reputable shop I would think that should be at least half maybe more. Good luck.

Had a brief conversation with a guy at the gas station who said he had an injector replaced on his XSport for $800. However, he also said they charged him $1200 to replace a burned out headlamp. Not sure if it was the same dealer. The whole conversation lasted about 90 seconds.

Yup replace all six n save the headache. My warranty replaced all mine when 1 went bad at 95k. Think they said it was 300 an injector plus labor if I had to pay for it. So pretty much 1700 in labor is what they charging u for?

i just did my injectors, replaced 2... had to buy special tools, ran into to a of problems (from inexperience) but the guys here have helped me out a WHOLE bunch... let me just say... going to the dealer is only a good idea if u are under warranty... otherwise, go to a reputable shop... or do it yourself... if u undertake it, cost is reduced DRAMATICALLY, but time can increase dramatically as well... if you take it to a dealer cost is increased dramatically, and they can take as long as they want... if you have the money to take it to a reputable repair shop that has experience with European or GDI engines, then your time is not wasted at all and the warranty is generally as good if not better than the dealership.
