Hello all,
Wondering how bad I would be taken to the cleaners (by Ford dealer). Need suspension work done. 92,000 miles. For $2000 they are replacing tie-rod (small amount of play causing issue). Lower control arms and rear bushings/mounts for same (rear bushings of arm are shot). Replacing control arms also replaces the ball joints (not an issue, but suggested) and front bushings. Rear shocks and rear sway control links (both of them have play too). They are giving a rental for the day too. Throwing in a 4-wheel alignment obviously.
I know I could probably do all this myself, but I currently don't have a garage to work in, so a pain. Plus, mine's a 2011, so have to deal with completely disassembling the front as we know. Just wondering if l'm waaay out there versus if I bought the parts myself. I know I could go to Megan's, but I'd still have to tackle at minimum the control arm rear bushings and unsure I need the benefit of coilovers.
Thanks!
