Ford Taurus sho owners group and you are correct they can't behave themselves so some of the responses would not be welcome here feel free to look on your own though.

That group is a joke... it's worse than AWD Army..

I left it some time ago when I raised concerns about the new dual feed intake system not sealing off the filter element from the engine bay heat.. and was told it doesn't matter how hot the air coming in is...

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The hot air comment is a joke?  Please tell me it is a joke.....

Nope... I was told I was being stupid... and that it's 100% up to the intercooler to cool it down... I gave up...

Then they released picture of the setup with a box around the filter element... after enough people made a recommendation to do so...

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wow.....I want to get into a discussion with them about ambient air temps and why the ECU pulls timing for each 10 degrees over 100 degrees.........

Don't... if you have an actual technical question that you want good feedback... ask it here...

Bradley would probably have a wealth of information on that question...

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Brad was the one that told me about the timing pulled over 100 degrees on the IAT2's.  Mine near 170 because it is hot here in Phoenix.  Once it gets colder I will see more timing.

Ford Taurus sho owners group

THAT group?!  I joined that group, got accepted, scrolled down a few pages to see what was there and left that group. Way too toxic.

Brad does amazing work and is super informative on what he does. We fine tuned this bad boy to perfection over 11 revisions. I say give it a try!

Yep. On my last AJP E30 revision (maybe as our gas here rocks). AJP usually has to loosen up on the controls and just let the SHO go. But E30 is an amazing performer. 0-60 and 60-140 is just nuts now.

LMS does not use HP Tuners from what I understand, HP Tuners still doesn't have full support for the 2010-2012 models. However, LMS does not mask their basic 93 tunes, and with HP Tuner software you can modify the parameters on an unmasked tune... you can do this with any unmasked tune.

There is someone out there who is ripping off other tuners tunes using HP Tuners.. It has happened to LMS and Gearhead at minimum which is just bad form. This is part of the reason why tuners are masking their tunes now. Basically masking the SWPN of the ECU and the Strategy so you cannot make adjustments or rip the tuning parameters off...

And tuners masking their tunes makes it a PIA to revert back to the stock strategy when you take the car to the dealership for work.. I really hope its not your friend doing this.. cause if it is, he is an ***hole.

On a side note: Did you do a baseline dyno before and after leaning out the mixture? Curious if it netted him anything.
