Code AiR

Hello my name is Codey. I usually go by Code though. Anyways a little history about me. I used to own a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon GT (until a six pointer totaled it). I had it for nine years, and I pretty much did just about everything possible to it (except for boost). I had the engine built (except for the top end). I decided to go with forged 8:1 CR pistons, ACL performance bearings, ect. The whole suspension was pretty much aftermarket. I knew my way around that car and had access to a very good forum if I had any information I needed to look up. I met a lot of cool people through the car and learned a ton. My father isn't a car enthusiast. So I pretty much had to learn on my own. Now I feel like I am pretty much starting over with the SHO I purchased lol.
(Sorry for the horrible quality. Facebook kills quality)

So onto the SHO. Last month I picked up a 2010 Cinnamon Metallic Taurus SHO with 84,xxx miles on it. My other choices were either a 2006-2010 Lexus IS250/300 or a Volkswagon Golf GTI. I was originally looking for an Audi A4 but decided against it after reading some bad mechanical reviews. It was hit or miss on the GTI's as well. I tried to purchase four different IS250/300's all of them were sold before I could even view the cars. So I viewed that as a sign. The SHO pretty much had everything I was originally looking for; heated seats, awd, comfort, v6, and decent horsepower.

Thanks for joining....so why did you only do 8:1 compression with no boost? That thing had to be a dog

And I'm surprised you said that the sho had decent horsepower...it pretty my doubles the hp and tq of the tiburon .....

And I'm sure you are the type to tune your car so once you get into that you will really be impressed with the sho....you can basically knock 3 seconds off the 1/4 mile from your tiburon!

I had a supercharger kit for the tiburon. But because I wanted to be baller I had the blower gold plated and it ruined everything! I've seen it down before so I figured the company knew what they were doing. The owner was a young car enthusiast himself. He just didn't care once I threatened legal action. It took 11 months for me to get my blower back from them. Needless to say the company is no longer around.

Oh yeah it is night and day difference from the tiburon. I just considered something over 500hp fast (at least something that weighs more than 4000lbs with 500hp fast). For a family sedan the sho has more than enough power.

Yeah the tiburon was pretty slow, but it was really fun in the curves.

Welcome Code, congrats on the SHO. They make for a very fun daily driver and there is a lot to be done aftermarket wise so you will fit right in.
Love that interior btw!

Thank you, I've only had it only a little over a month. So far its been a blast. Interior is one of my favorite parts to the car.
