I was looking for a basic Dash Cam primarily for Track use and came across this Vantrue X1 Car Dash Cam - Full HD 1080P 1920x1080 Dash Cam 170° Wide Angle 2.7" LCD In Car Dashboard Camera DVR Video Recorder with G-Sensor, Parking Mode, HDR & Super Night Vision for $89.99.

I know there are bigger and better cams out there such as the GO-PRO but i'm not looking to climb a mountain or dive under water just something practical for everyday use.

Thoughts, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Z

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Make sure you check with the track prior to mounting anything in the Window
I learned the hard way during a major points race "test and tune" it went like this
I had my Ipad in the window on a suction mount, Got flagged over at the shutdown
end by the officials, the response WAS:

"Get that dam thing out of the window, MAN this dam thing is fast, what are you running Torque?"

Been running a G1W-C for a few years now. Got the rear-view mirror mount. On my previous car, I stuck a wiring harness kit up in the headliner and spliced into some permanently live 12V wires. For the Flex, I ran the extra long 12V adapter wire, tucked into the headliner, tucked into the A-pillar, and then Velcro strapped up under the dash to the passenger footwell 12V adapter location. Made for a quick, easy, clean, and cheap solution.

Yeah big unit like Ipad they always tweak about.  I think a unit like Z shows, mounted up next to mirror on passenger side might not even get noticed.  That or mount a gopro to your helmet...  The concern is something fling around the cabin if you have a wreck.
