Yeah.  I think for now Meth is just not something I need.  Daily driver and never get to track sooo...

But hearing your journey and results get me thinking.  Maybe in a year when my warranty expires.....

When you going to get to the track?

Generally I'm an easier driver than most people here and haven't even been to the track this year with my DD, but since the meth install a year and a half ago, I wouldn't want to be without it.
Genuine question here, not being confrontational/mocking...
What benefit are you seeing from it for a DD or car you do not race.  I know it will lower iat, but for a mellow drive home car is there a benefit I am overlooking?  Mine is running 125-150* low throttle cruising or at stoplights, but the car pulls pretty darn strong as is, or is it just that much better?  I see 6psi+ daily, sometimes 13-14psi.

For me it is not just the IAT2 now,  the 26+ degrees of timing 'should' put it on the close side of 600ftlbs at WoT 3500 .. under normal driving when the light kicks on and it injects I feel it pull harder with less throttle in basic driving.  Heck using partial throttle feels like racing it stock.  it ''for me'' becomes a giggle worthy enjoyment to not be putting my foot in it and launching with in reasonable bounds away from intersections, onramps and what-not.  I smile from ear to ear when it burbles at 2200rpm and i feel the TQ swell up when the light kicks on..

Since i race a bunch at the tracks i will get my $ worth for sure.  if i was not a Drag racer i might not have installed it....  but to get the benefit of 115+ octane + ambient temps or less than ambient temps even when not racing and not plowing the pedal makes it a buttery joy to drive.

Topher, you went basic stage 1 also Right?  Have to look back at your thread.  I know ajp likes all or nothing spray vs progressive.

Update after Vacation ..

Datalogs for rev22 of tune (rev #2 for meth)
3rd gear sweep
1-4th gear run

**Note,  i am suspect of my meth.. timing was much lower than expected.
**Note,  the throttle cut in a bit.. did not expect that.
**Note, boost was lower.. not sure why.

He is commanding 201kpa... so unless your previous tunes were commanding more, it appears you were hitting your target.. your spark looks good, your knock sensor was pulling timing from third through fourth.. not much.. but it was pulling a bit of timing..

I too notice that your throttle was kicking in a bit more... especially in first.. I know Brad was working on a way to keep first from spinning everywhere? Dunno...

Looks like a solid tune none the less! Glad you are happy. Was this a recent tune revision he sent you?

TopherSho

He did up the boost from 14.0 to 14.5, then pulled some throttle control, and upped the spark a couple degrees..

I'm very surprised by the throttle behavior.  I do not remember it bouncing like that in previous builds.

Brad's looking it over later when he has time..

I bought 4 bottles of heat and mixed in two into the 3-quart Rez.. I may do an additional run and see if that persists.

It has felt off since coming back from my 3 week vacation...Not sure what's up yet.

Ive been debating on using meth for a while what kit did you use and have you thought about dual injectors or direct injection or is your setup what most are running thanks?

Snow's stage 1 kit
it is not a progressive kit,  it just spews 100% as soon as it is enabled.  single nozzle of 375ml about 5 inches from the throttleblade in the hot-pipe!

I pinged him in an email. Obviously he has been crazy busy the past couple weeks, but he said we can address it when he gets a chance. I know he was working on a way to smooth delivery of all the low end boost off the line. Maybe thats it..

cool,  so far I do not have traction issues except for shifting.

The thought of Meth is really starting to sound nice coupled with E-85 how well does it work?

I threw a little E85 into my LMS meth tune as it tends to produce a small amount of knock retard deep into third once in awhile (like +1 at most) and it staves it off. Hawkeye has an E30/meth tune from BCB...

It's pretty common place to throw E in with meth. I  suspect it works well.

Me personally don't want to need to rely on 3 types of fuel...
