I'm interested in a heads up race against FoMoCoSHO and his corn fed beast...

Thinking I drop the psi in the tires, get em warm, and my comp 2's will hook nice so the PTU won't need to transfer as much to the rear... just enough to keep me from spinning...

Should probably try that....
What's size are your tires ? Guys are running wide as possible. I did my best times @ 22 26 rear. I have seen a 1.8 60' and I'm on cheap tires

Pontiac Grand Prix.......Wider is better.

We certainly have the weight to keep the grip.

I didn't see if you were running a Eblend with your meth?

Just an update... after quite a bit of testing we have a pretty solid tune on it.. some minor tweaking probably can be done but still the biggest issue is getting the power to the ground...

15psi and 26degrees of spark creates a lot of power and on the 2010-2012 sho or perhaps just my strategy, the ECU triggers torque source 15 when the fronts spin too much... technically it's truncating power going through the PTU as a safety measure for the unit I believe.. which appears to be a non issue on the 2013+ SHOs...

Brad and I have tried more than a dozen different parameters trying to get around that issue with no luck...

So far the LMS Alky tune and Brads tune net a similar 0-60 time. But again, with Brads tune it's constrained getting the power down...

The biggest tell is the 0-90 times where Brads tunes net me 7.8ish seconds where LMS is netting 8.7ish.. those times are without brake launching. Just hit the gas and go. So I suspect I can get the LMS time down substantially with a proper launch. Brads tune I cannot brake launch without the Source Torque 15 issue for now...

Will update again when Brad tweaks the settings so I can brake launch this thing..

What is very interesting to me is that LMS pushes around 12psi and caps the spark at 23 using the throttle to control boost production among other things. Which is significantly LOWER than what Brad has me running at.. the 0 - 60 times are almost identical at this point with me brake boosting the LMS tune while I ease into the throttle on Brads.. I can't launch how I have been traditionally with Brads tune... if I could then my 0-60's would be beastly.. lol

Seems like LMS puts it right at the limit on the 2010-2012 when it comes to launching... probably for consistency...

Sooo... two tunes... a track tune and a daily driver... of course I would need to prove out my theory with a set of drs..

You can call up WELD and use their fitment worksheet to determine if the GT500 drag wheels will fit the SHO (they should based on my research). Depending on caliper clearance, you may even be able to put on 17s meant for a 5.0 GT and save a bit extra on the weight. Throw drag radials on front, leave street tires in back, and tear it up :D

I think John (91hybrid) had a set of DRS in the Front with his 11.991@114.28. Z

From what I recall, the few who tried DR's (whether all 4, or just 2 up front) saw no real benefit from them.

Problem being the inability to properly heat them up before a run due to the AWD.

Trying to warm them up, before a run, by driving around in circles where the cars park to cool down after a run, would then cause premature heat soak before a run.

Do what you choose, as it's always interesting/entertaining to see people make additional attempts, but from the few people I know who tried them, it wasn't beneficial.

Curious BPD... when you got your engine built, did they upgrade your ECU to the 2013+? I suspect you do not experience the advance traction control stuff with you 11.5 times? Or is that all part of the secret sauce you don't disclose?
