Don't know about the thermostats but you are best served to get the ford MAP sensor. It's the easiest to scale in the software.

You actually are getting the TIP sensor that is pre throttle body...SO essentially you are running 2 identical sensors but the MAP sensor is replaced with a stock TIP sensor. So you can make sure you are getting the right sensor just check that it is the same as the TIP sensor that is between the intercooler and throttle body.

And yes you need to have a tune to run that sensor....Funny thing is you can probably flip flop the 2 sensors and get a tune the correct way and not even have to buy the extra TIP sensor and avoid being upcharged.

I personally have the Reische 170- stat for over three years now and definitely a quality piece for sure and just add a tune for the added benefits.  Z

I think they make the Reische now in the US, instead of Germany.  It is a modified Stant thermostat.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I just bought a Bar Map Sensor along with a Ford Explorer Sport Level 3 Performance Pack from Livernois Friday.  It wasn't cheap but it's the same set up as a friend of mine who has a XSport and his is fast.

The Performance Pack comes with a set of down-pipes, Windstorm CAI, Tune, Spark Plugs and a Thermostat.  I can't wait to get it all installed!!!
