Loaded my first E20 tune.... results are... interesting... additional tuning will be needed no doubt...

Big thanks again to Brad who takes to the time to mess with my very strange strategy....

Apparently there were MORE oddities in my strategy that other Gen 4s don't seem to replicate...

Yes it needs more spark!...Knock sensors were adding the whole time....I need to take a screenshot of your fuel pressure with the E20 on the old tune and one with the tune designed for E20...Big difference...Goes to show why it's not ideal to just add even a gallon or 2 of E85 to a tune not designed for it

Here are the screenshots. Before tuning and after tuning for the E20 blend.....The blue line is RPM the grey line is MAP(boost) and the dark bold blue line is fuel pressure at the rail.

They are 3rd gear sweeps, notice the flat boost curve throughout the pull....The fuel pressure is much improved. The low rpm boost heavily taxes the fuel pressure and even with the E20 the tuning improved the pressure...The regular tune with the E20 fuel was scary for fuel pressure it dropped below 1000 psi.

The ECU can't compensate correctly because everything is wrong from the start including the stoic point of the new fuel blend and the calculations are derived from that value.

You should.. or I will... big difference! It's almost like you used math and engineering to make a better tune... oh dear god... that's a line right out of the LMS playbook!!!

Well the tune is full of numbers lol so it's all math eseentially right?...And don't talk about me and LMS in the same post, it's rude and upsets me....Joking....Well lets throw some spark at it now and make a Meth beater lol

lol absolutely more spark... fuel pressure looked good enough that maybe a bit more boost too? Who knows... maybe I will hold off on the meth or nitrous for a bit...

I was wondering if someone would reply with that lol lol

I ignored it.. he is part of the "you people"... or he would not have spent all that money at the dyno going through his own revisions... or coming up with his wastegate mod....

He just can't help him self is really what it is... he is projecting his wants onto everyone else ;-)

LOL. I'm finally broke after finding this site 7 months ago, and I figured out it doesn't cost near as much to just hang out in the peanut gallery and live vicariously through the rest of "you people."

Carry on. ;)
