Those look great man!

I had bed light LED's on my old diesel, loved them. I didn't do front grill, at time bars weren't that great--now they are picking up it seems.

Love it dude!

Oops just noticed this is model specific and interior... double oops.  Carry on all, I agree though LED upgrades are a great and easy thing to do, I have so many extras now from ordering so many when I did mine, we swapped out a friends new Dodge dart in my driveway cause he liked the look of mine and I had all the lights already haha.

Interested to see where you guys go with the reverse bulbs, I have the 15cree bulbs in mine and they throw a spot pattern that is brighter but doesn't result in better backup lighting.  I am researching a project about using a power actuator similar to a window slide to move down when powered and back up when power is cut, and then run some more high powered off road lights to that, keep it cleanly hidden and stealth under the bumper when driving but when hitting reverse they flip down and look like day time in the rear view. (if anyone finds a universal weather proof actuator let me know..)

No worries; I had same problem with backups and ended up getting these; they provide a great amount of light for me.

As for your concern; probably auxiliary lighting would be best. What I did on my F250--mounted them at bottom of bumper.

For more light on reverse, using 15W HIDs in the stock location is a possibility, been done on other Ford vehicles.  For myself, I would do what Storm suggests:  bottom of bumper auxiliaries.
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

So where did you get the LED light bar that has that kind of lumens, don't think it would work for the SHO, but could use one on our Explorer.

The light is from rigid industries. They aren't cheap but its the best in the business and made in the USA.

ges, thanks for the writeup and links to the bulbs.

took me all of 40 minutes to do all of them but the puddles.  I'm gonna hack into them myself.   Man those center map lights were a PITA to get apart...that's where most of my time was spent.

Those backup lights are bright as hell!

geswek

Glad to hear they worked out for you. :-)

Sent from a mobile, I think.

If you don't want to hack the lights that are in the mirrors now, you can purchase just the light from Ford.  I don't have a part number, I was lucky, my dealer had a spare light that they gave me, so I could do one without taking the light in the mirror apart, and now I have a spare puddle light.
Also, I gotta get those backup LED's, could you please provide me with the link and the bulb that you guys used so I can get them ordered.  Thanks.

I have a spare one from when I did my Explorer's, so I'll have an extra in case I screw one up.

here's the link for the backups - http://goo.gl/2FVY4c
They shipped out pretty damn quick, too!

Just out of curiosity, people who have done the LED update, can you run your scan tool to see if you get a DTC? I just did the tune to my car and I pulled a B1215 code (along with my sending unit code that was fixed prior to the tune) which is a Running Board Lamp Circuit Short to Battery error...but I've never touched any of those lights.

I'll check tonight Scott.

Thanks...I'm betting its something minor and might be from me popping the fuse...I didn't get a CEL or anything

I was 1/2 interested in maybe picking these up for my reverse lights, but am I reading the ad correctly?

Are these nearly $45 per bulb?

Which I'll add, doesn't even include the shipping costs factored in.  :boom:

So $100 all said, for 2 reverse lights, that I'll use about...... never.  ::)

HAHHA; holy crap!

I bought mine from him for $27 bucks for (2).

He raked up the price! Oh well, I'll have mine available soon as I'm going with 15w HID's for backup lights.
