Sounds like a quality issue from the manufacturers side. No good...

I'm thinking they weren't designed to hot lap at Milan Dragway during Livernois Customer Appreciation Day too. Think that was root cause?

These brakes would never survive commuting in Atlanta. I don't know how I made it through there without rear ending someone! LOL

lol Maybe not, but for a car that was designed as a,"Go to the track for the day and then go get the kids," they really should be better at long beatings.

Its an engineering issue, gen 4.1 was horribly underbraked from the factory.

With Rich piloting I'd say it's a miracle they lasted that long, lol, and no offense Rich!

Your car had 21K when you got it. Who knows how it was abused prior. My 2013 was fine (besided the grinding noise made when hot from day 1) when i traded it at 33K and I promise I was not nice to it.

I've not seen any testing where Fade or wear at the track has been an issue.

Purchased ours at 28k...local dealer said it was a regular customer that always had it there for regular oil changes and "check ups"...couldn't get name, but it was an elderly gentleman they said...and that we got a good used car.

The 13+ setup is leaps and bounds above the 12 and prior...when I drove a 13 at Milan the stock brakes were as good as my EBC setup.

Never had braking "trouble" other than the days at the dragway...after the day where they completely faded at Milan, they developed a minor vibration.

To the OP what buildate is your car??could be a bad batch of pads for that month period 11/12 because mine were replaced under warranty at 22k but did not look like a piece of well done spare rib, mine had more of a meduim well pigment with signs of the pad material shoing decomposition and deterioration, think this isolated issue might be more common than we all might think.  Z
The build date for my car is March 2012.

No, running some all seasons. Been thinking about getting a dedicated set of winter tires and get some good summer tires after these all seasons run low, but maybe next year or so.
