How do you fellow members feel about the old stock tires that were just sitting on the shelf? The production date is 2011/12.

I wanted to see if anyone had any experience in this field, and how reliable these tires would be. Never been mounted, brand new summer tires. And, it seems like a decent deal compared to a sry of new ones.

If it was me, I wouldn't buy them. Tires have special compounds in them that keep them "pliable" and when you let them sit too long, as in years, the compounds can't do their job. They might look fine sitting there, but as soon as they are mounted they could show signs of dry rotting and cracking. Overall the tire can degrade as well. Especially watch out if they have/had them sitting on one of those racks that sits outside in the sun

That was my concern, that if I put them on, that they won't last too long on the car.

Most of us wear out summer tires with the right foot long before the tire ages out!

If I wouldn't put them on my Harley, I wouldn't put them on my car
