Have u seen your spark at low loads?...it's likely 30-45 degrees....very easy to get knock there...and when u are tipping in and out of the throttle it can be lean for a brief time making preignition possible

Remember the ecu is always riding the edge of incipient knock so even at part throttle you are making maximum power

Make a note of as many details during the occurences as possible:  what gear you were in, what were the rpm's, did the load change, how much advance, etc.  Like aj says, probably perfectly normal, but since we like dig into things here, why not? :D  Sometimes sensors have a brain fart or valves don't open/close at the precise moment they are expected to.  I assume the knock sensor wiring has been checked and/or taped off?  BTW, at least in some people's experience, even Mobil 1 may not be the best fuel for your area.  So try changing brands (always use a high-volume station, preferably top tier) and see if that makes any difference.  Run some Techron or BG44 through the gas tank (doesn't hurt, may help).

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Im always monitoring the data in real time which is not really a good way to actually create logs. I have an hour trip later today so i will log at cruising and see if anything comes up. Techron vs BG44 is one better than the other? i have never add any additives to my tank before so deff not a bad idea. Mobile is considered top tear here. I always used to go to cumberland farms (golf re-brand) but they were recently acquired by a different company. the choices here are Hess, sunoco, golf, mobile, stewarts, shoprite, BJ's.... and literally as of today a Speedway. I have no idea if speedway is any good. there are numerous no nane gas stations which i tend to stay away from. There is a pitstop but they dont have 93 octane gas.

BG44K is generally considered a superior FI cleaner, but Techron is also very very good (OEM recommendation from BMW, e.g.).  Neither will get any carbon on the backs of the intake valves, but anything from the fuel tank to the combustion chamber to the valve faces will get cleaned out.  I recently put up a thread about ACES IV, which MIGHT work on the back of the valves also, but little data on that.

No Costco?  These are Top Tier stations:

I certainly agree with SHOdded, and definetly pour a can of B.G 44K fuel system cleaner in your tank at least every oil change for optimum performance especialy if your limited to top tier gasoline in your area, have been using BG-44K and Chevron techron for quite sometime now and definetly would recommend them, personaly like the BG product thats in a can and the label clearly says made for DGI.  Z

So this "tea" from Amsoil might have something to it, eh?  Interesting.

Ran it in the tank on the way to SHO-CAGO and averaged 24.3 with a 17% corn mix and avg speed of at least 82 mph with a few WOT pulls into triple digits....with 4-500 lbs of cargo on the way home and the regular fuel concoction of 10% E, avg speed of 90+, and a few WOT pulls DEEP into triple digits we got 26 mpg's!!!

The 21.8 I'm at now is with a full night of shenanigans on Woodward SHOwing many V8'S what the family sedan is packing...had a guy in a Charger RT look over at a light and say, "I see what you did, we can't tell what car you're driving"..."just a taurus"...he asked to run em then...I swear I put at least 6 cars on him by 70 mph
