Experience with the competition?

Was curious if anyone has any experience against some of our competition?  Like the Chargers (r/t and srt), 535i's, and G8's.  I'm sure I could make a guess based on numbers and stats but I'm sure a few guys on here aren't bench racers.  I'm thinking numbers wise the SHO should lose but it sure seems quicker than the numbers state, I've chirped the tires on the 1-2 shift which I thought was impressive on a stock car. I did find the car has magnaflow mufflers though.
13 SHO~ stock for now but not for long....
92 Typhoon~not stock and never enough

I think you mentioned the vehicle came with a magnaflow exhaust which is great, but would definetly monitor the vehicles output with a similiar app like torque pro cause dont recall my car ever chirping 2nd gear in stock tune.  Z

I had a 2007 SRT charger with a tune, headers, exhaust and I ran 13.0 all the time.  It was pretty quick.  I could launch it hard.

I have a Grand Cherokee SRT same motor and driveline except it's AWD.  I ran 13.5 with it all day stock. 12.8 with a cam, exhaust, and tune.  It has a ProCharger D1 on it and it's been running about 11.7-11.9 right now.

The SHO is a little slower than my 2010 SRT  jeep (stock SRT jeeps run 13.5s) but it's quick because it's AWD and since it's a turbo it takes nothing to make it go faster. So you can tinker and tune to make the SHO much faster with minor work. I really like that about the SHO. I also know in the short time with my sho people are impressed that the turtle kept up or beat them off the line or beat them. They all go it's a SHO, that's cool.

So don't feel the car can't hang because I know it can.  Just takes a little Gogo juice.  On these boards there are some really good Vendors that have pioneered the way and have made some really really fast SHOs.  Best part is they are still sleepers. They don't scream fast but man do they fly when they go.

I walk my friends 08 535i stock and rape after tune. My mustang would beat srt chargers and it was definately slower than my sho. It was 2000 mustang gt with boltons.

Edit: raced a few chargers 0-100 when i had my mustang and always won by a few cars. Never really went faster than that since it had 3.73 gears, I am sure they are fast 100+ but so is the sho imo and my sho as it sits now would destroy the mustang I had.

All the chargers around here run mid 13's at the track and the flex ran a 13.2 so your SHO should be able to walk them from a dig.

I've beaten a newer Charger R/T AWD, G37x, and 2010+ Legacy GT by a few car lengths.  Thats about all the action that's worth mentioning I've had  in my 14 months of ownership.  I've raced a lot of trucks that thought they were fast but destroyed them before 60mph.  Definitely more confidence after getting tuned, wouldn't race much when stock.

ran a 2015 WRX STI at the track and knew the guy. He had an access port and a tune, and he was complaining about the pro tree at the track. So i let him stage first so you he could do his launch control. Still beat him. Killed a 350z pretty bad, he did not race again after that.

I should have a race against a 07 m5 and 08 corvette (non-zo6 with ls3) sometimes soon as they seem to think they will beat me in a light to light race (0-100). Most people just have no idea how good the sho pulls with tune and dps.

Oh and I also raced my friends 07 is350 lexus that I beat but it was close until around 80 when i started walking away from a 40 roll. My cars tune was way off due to bad gas tho and runs a lot better now.

Had a race for $100 tonight with a guy that has a 04 gto with a cam, tune and some boltons and is putting down 380whp. He called me out thinking I would chicken out... well I took his $ and had him beat by about 3 cars 0-110ish. An hour later we did a 45-120 run with me having a 180 pound pasanger and I lost by about a car by 120. He was pulling slowly but i stopped his pull around 110 but did not gain at all.

Ha, nice!

I had a 2006 GTO with just a tune and it ran 13 flat at 109mph in Phoenix in December.  Was a fun car.  Had to be careful on the street, rear end was easy to get sideways.  Sucked trying to race someone from a light, couldn't go WOT.  Was young and dumb, gunned it around a corner once and went into a curb, ruined a wheel and tire.  Definitely don't miss RWD.

Yup this one was automatic but still had issues with traction in 1st!
