I honestly must give a big thanks to Jason over at
www.fordpimods.com for his great product and service,so basically you can add navigation to your existing non-navigation ecoboost just simply purchasing an apim module,personaly chose to keep my oem module for backup,just for precautionary measures,received the module on monday and gave my buddy at Ford a call to have him install it for me but unfortunetly he was on vacation,just figured since he has the IDS software we can add some tweaks to the system with the help of Jason,will update next week on that matter,honestly was getting inpatient and figured let me install the unit since having a bmw,mercedes background figured this will be a piece of cake and indeed it was,just wanted to start of by saying everything is so fragile based on all the plastic components and just took my time with some TLC on the SHO,honestly could not wait to swap out the module and see what it brings me,already had the new A-6 card inserted inside the slot,as soon as i plugged in the new module,immediatly the navigation came to life in a matter of a second(almost done)as mentioned earlier you really have to take your time and be patient with this procedure for anyone thinking of performing this,to be honest it wasnt that hard to perform just patience and the proper tools,apologize for the quick and top of my head write up experience,will keep you updated on the tweaks with the IDS software,thanks.
