Wtf Did I do to my sho? New exhaust makes my car sound like a rice burner

I apologize for intefering,but this is reference to the OP.was curious to know if you used new gaskets x4,or if you re-use the old ones it will leak causing o2 sensors to read incorrectly causing fluctuations on your AFR. Z

The sputtering was between 2-3 and when I put it to 91 octane it turned to 1-2 and 3-4. It also was at a different speed... and it wasn't at WOT either. When I said it got worse... it got worse. I literally pulled over on the side of the road, shut her down and put 93 back in fear I was going to EFF something up.

The Stainless Works catless DPs were either Copper ATV'd or the original gaskets were put back on ... I don't remember --

I am going to Late Model Throttle to see if I can get a data log done on the car to figure out WTF is going on with the sputter. Also I need a bit of peace of mind that nothing is majorly JACKED. They specialize in turbo charged cars and have some pretty beefy setups...

Is it possible that an O2 sensor got damaged during the swap? I agree the data logs would be a huge help. If sounds like a spike in AFR and the car trying to compensate wich would cause the sputtering.

Brenton keep us updated cause i know how fustrating it can be,had a few issues myself which later the dealer was able to fix under warranty,have the platinum extended warranty for a total of seven years. Z

I stopped by my tuner this morning and he is going to update his diablo tuner to see if the sputter is misfires.

I am going to reset the PCM per the previous thread in a couple of minutes here... I have a long drive down to Vernan Hills, IL from Milwaukee and back today -- which will give it a lot of drive time to adjust s***. It's super frustrating but its worth a shot.

My tuner is also going to be "test" loading a DiabloSport Tune on my vehicle. We are going to see how that tune works so I can go back to LMS to see WTF is going on.

I am getting the feeling that the LMS tune does not reset the shift points or the adaptive fuel curves when you install the tune. I think you HAVE to do a PCM reset every time to get less aggressive fuel curves. At idle, my car is spewing white exhaust on a 60 degree day -- it smells very rich (it doesn't smell like burning oil at idle).

I also am experiencing a rough idle too... Straight up frustrating.

A few members have been experiencing issues with the tune files and "winter gas" blends. Judging by your location this might be the case. I know with my own testing older winter gas and ethanol blends were causing real issues with my car. I did a 1/2 tank at another station of 94 + 10% E and my car was experiencing more misfires as logged by the PCM and was pulling all kinds of timing. I have gone back since to my usual station (the busiest in my area) and the KR is much better and no misfires. Just my 2 cents.

How does adding E to your gas test* the winter blend? Don't you think that we pay for a tune to not cause misfires ... Not to cause problems... Livernois should come up with a fix for this??

Can't tell you an answer, all I know is what I experienced. The E is blended into the gas at the pump. We can't get anything above 91 around here that isn't 10% Ethanol. So the Ethanol may or may not be contributing to the issue. (The only reason that it might is if the gas is old and has water in it) Yes I agree that LMS should have a fix. That said it seems that if yours is the same issue as mine was we are in the minority. So a fix may not be coming anytime soon.

14shocar I'm 99% sure that anytime you flash your car with a tune all the adaptives are reset...the kam is reset due to the flash process...kam is keep alive memory

Also, I highly doubt you are running rich at idle...that's where logging is the only answer rathe than speculating...the only way u would be running rich would be if u were in open loop and only a complete moron would force open loop at idle for this application....actually these cars run closed loop in a way even at wot but I won't really get into that now .....
