Livernois Motorsports

Just completed another 3.5L Ecoboost build for a customer for off road style racing. This engine utilizes Livernois custom components and machine work to produce an extremely reliable off road race engine.

The block has been prepped and machined with Livernois exclusive deck bore brace, which adds significant strength to the block deck and bores. This ensures that even under high boost conditions where power and load go up considerably, that the bores don't shift and move due to the factory open deck design. In addition to strengthening the bores and improving ring seal under load the brace also improves the head gasket retention and sealing, preventing gasket blowout.

Fortified with Livernois custom I-beam connecting rod and Livernois custom DI forged piston kit the bottom end is able to support whatever you can throw at it without breaking a sweat. Livernois head and main stud kits are added to further add durability to the package and keep everything together.

The custom dry sump oiling system and billet oil pan allow this package to endure the extremes of full out off road racing without having to worry about the oil system.

That is what i call some impressive machinery there, just a tad bit jealous.

Awesome work. That top deck plate you add to strengthen up the top of the block is a thing of art.

How does it affect cooling? And are you using factory head gaskets?

I think I may need some time with this engine so I can fap in private.

Oh my :bananahump:

Did you get that deck plate on your build bpd?

Thank you! I wish that I could take credit for engineering it lol.

It still allows for cooling to occur. It is to strengthen the cylinder walls and to avoid the heads "floating" around" on the block. And if you are going to go this far we would actually recommend a head gasket that is built for the higher levels of boost and power.

I don't believe so.

At least it wasn't outright mentioned.

I'd have to ask TBPH.

Livernois Motorsports

Bpd, I got with the engine build supervisor. And, you actually do not have the delta plate installed on your build, because it was just a baby CAD drawing at the time that we built your beast.

Thanks for the verification.

Like I replied originally, I was confident that it was not included.

It's great to see you guys continuing to make even further progress on these EB engines.

Not only on the 3.5's, but other EB power plants as well.

Your company's dedication to the entire platform is beyond commendable. :clap2:

Now, let's get those engineer brains / talents crack'n on tranny & drivetrain upgrades! :ok:

Thank you, but too bad I'm not one of those brains you speak of lol.

Find us a proper Rear Diff that can really hold lots of power. I havent actually looked at the RDU, but is there a way to make the case bigger or add a cooling unit to increase fluid quantity or cooler running.

We have looked into it, and there are no foreseeable options available. I think the new generation of EcoBoosts will "unlock" new ideas for defeating the walls that we are running into ATM.

Any info on the race vehicle the motor is going into?
