Congrats on the pretty easy fix on a relatively short stop at the dealer. May warrant a good review?

Yup Definitely. I think they are my new place to go to incase of car problems/oil changes.

Got the car back last night (had to wait an extra day because they received a wrong O-Ring with the injector >:. The car drives even nicer now I love it lol. They also did a compression check before they figured out that it was the injector and the numbers were all 200 and within 1% of each other according to the note I got with my receipt. I am assuming they are good numbers as they are so close to each other?

Thanks!

Tune that thang!  Very solid all around from the sound of it.  Not surprised the numbers are so close, what with the expectations after the torture test.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Oh it will be tuned by next April-May. I will start getting parts together (t-stat, 3-bar, plugs, etc). I already have the xcal tuner but not in a hurry to tune it as its goint to be hard putting the power down during winter anyways haha

I know but I don't see the point of hurrying to get tuned if I cant use the power. Plus I don't know about the winter gas and getting tuned. I will go with Torrie so he would have to re-tune once we start getting summer gas. Not going to go through that, data logging sux imo lol. I will get it tuned with summer gas and just go to stock during winter time.

Unless Torrie will be able to give me a generic winter tune that I wont have to datalog to get the most out of it.

I love to data log. Usually a highlight to my 3am schedule.

He can give you a nutered tune for your winter needs. Just ask.

You can use the power.

Winters are long and there will be good days to go out and have some fun.

Part throttle map is unchanged and it's not like you're going WOT when it's snowing. Well, at least you don't have to...

However, kicking the big girls ass out sideways is loads of fun.

I am having the exact same issue as you have been describing.  Hesitation under WOT, but perfectly fine under every other condition.  Since I am out of my warranty period I will probably just get it fixed.  I do have the extended powertrain warranty (100k miles) since I bought it as a "certified lincoln" but Im afraid to take it in since I have it tuned and have the 3-bar sensor swapped on there and whatnot.

Is there an easy way to check and see which injector might be going bad?  How much do injectors for these cars cost and where is the best place to get them?  And is it an easy install?  (I haven't started looking into this yet....just figured I'd ask and then start searching)

Hello,

I am not sure if there is an easy way to check, they had to put it on the computer and it took them a whole day to find out what the problem is, good luck!

Buy an injector and keep moving it until the hesitation goes away? If your doing it yourself may be cheapest.

I think the injectors are about $150 each or so... check to your system to see if any misfire DTC codes are registering. They will identify the cylinder.  Going from right to left as you face the transverse engine they are 1-2-3 in back and 4-5-6 in front.  That should give you a good starting place for the changing of injectors.
