Really hard to find tires in Canada lol! I tried for the heck of it 295/40r20.. ALMOST! Only problem was the rear.. On hard quick bumps the rear fender liner has 2 square sections.. When it hit those it made a horrible noise!!
I think a 35 series or 30 would work..
In order are 275/40r20.. Those are proven I do believe.. I hope!

Sweet Jebus!! 295!! That's some FAT rubber.
Your the first I heard of trying to go that wide. Looks like you may have found the limit.
I can't believe you didn't have any rubbing in the front when going lock to lock.

the front just touched the fender liner in front of the strut. that i could of lived with.. the rear hitting there was no easy fix there!
looked bad ass tho!

i think if there was a tire with the lower profile it would be no issue!

what sizes will you be running now, front and back? what are the offsets on the wheels? are you running any spacers, front or rear, and what size?

by the way the wheels look nice.

shotime99

I am just going to run 275/40r20. that keeps the overall diameter the same as stock..
this is the rim

will the 275 clear in front? are you using any wheel spacers in the front?

shotime99

no spacers at all.. the front even fit the 295/40s rear was the issue

nice, are you lowered or stock suspension? what do you think about the rear, can the rear wheel come a little more out to look better with tire size 275? for example that would require maybe 32mm offset? or 35 is as good and fills that fender gap with a 275? how much more room on the inside do you have, between the tire and the strut? I am really surprised that the tire is not rubbing on the strut, I would think that 32mm offset would be perfect for a 275 in front and anything bigger as in 35-39 would rub on the inside.

I will know better tomorrow on that.. Haven't got them on the car yet

I just put on gmax's today also. They're known for their soft sidewall.   Pretty sure in that size they are rated up to 51psi.
A little increase in tire pressure should help the "splashy" feeling.
