Is this a SHO PP kit? Most of the decent performance rotors I've seen are only available in the larger 13.3" size for the front. If memory serves me correctly, I think non-PP SHO and MKS front rotors are slightly under 13".

I'd love to find some nice matching front/rear slotted rotors and decent pads for ~$500 to slap on all four corners of the MKS. My front rotors are warped something awful and have been since I purchased the car.

On pre 2013 cars I was under the impression that the rotors were all the same size.  Just the pads were upgraded on the PP.

If that's the case, then that's excellent news! Do we have any members who have upgraded their MKS brakes?

I've almost placed an order on a couple of different occasions, but I keep seeing 13"+ rotors for a 2011 SHO/MKS on different websites, so it's throwing me off. I'd hate to plan everything out and end up with the wrong stuff and have to return ship a box full of rotors...

I appreciate the follow up, but this is where I'm confused and AutoAnything's website isn't helping me any, haha. It may or may not matter, but for whatever reason, neither the 2011 Taurus SHO nor the 2011 MKS can be found under the Power Stop kit. With that being said, they do list a 2010 SHO and 2010 MKS. I'm not aware of any differences between the 2010 and 2011 cars, so this may just be an oversight on their part.

Now, here's where it gets interesting. Keep in mind, I'm searching the 2010 model year instead of 2011 for both the SHO and MKS. For the Taurus, users have the option of selecting the non-turbo or turbo 3.5. If you select the non-turbo 3.5 option, the kit part number is K5510. If you select the turbo 3.5 option, the part number is K5508. However, when searching for an MKS, there is no option to select turbo. It just says "All MKS Models" and the only one kit shows up is K5510, which is the same part number that appears for the non-turbo Taurus.

Is this just an error on their website or does my MKS EcoBoost have the same brake setup as a non-turbo MKS/Taurus?

OK 1) Many part supplier have a delay in updating yr model compatibility  with brand new models. So know that Ford did not change the brakes on 2010-2012 Taurus/SHO/FLEX/MKS ALL THE SAME.
2)I don't think the MKS ever had the PP KIT, SO there is no different  between the non/eco MKS brakes.
3) Did some research the 5508 and 5510 are the same but the 5508 have been certify for the PP SHO IS THE ONLY DIFFERENT.
So the powerstop kit upgrade the stock Mks way pass PP-SHO(stock) and Now after 45day a road trip to MYRTLE BEACH S.C. I STILL LOVE THEM and no dust.

I'm glad to hear you're loving them. I have to admit, the stock brakes do leave a lot to be desired.

I also appreciate your research into the difference between the K5508 and K5510 kits. With that being said, after I posted last night, I decided to do a little more digging myself. By the time I had gathered the information and was ready to post, a storm rolled through and took out my internet.

According to RockAuto, the 2009-10 MKS and 2010-11 Taurus have the same brakes, but the 2011+ MKS uses a different part number; the same part number as the 2012-13 Taurus. I'm crunched for time at the moment, but I'll try to get some measurements of the different part numbers and report back a little later.

I'm hoping to find that it's just a certification issue as you mentioned about the 5508/5510 kits. It may also be a case where the outside diameter is ever so slightly different, but will work on both vehicles. FoMoCo had a horrible reputation in the 80's/90's for using two or three variations of a part in a single model year or across a couple of model years. I hope they're not moving back to that model...

I'm sorry for all of the posts. I just want to make sure I'm getting the right stuff.

This post will probably need to be edited as more information is gathered...

I've used a few different sources such as Mitchell 1 OnDemand5, RockAuto.com, FordParts.com, and NAPAOnline.com. All of the part numbers mentioned below were taken strictly from FordParts.com.

Unfortunately, it does look like there is some variation in brake systems across the MKS/Taurus lineup, but I'm wondering if it's just with the materials used as opposed to the dimensions even though the dimensions vary from one website to the next. It hasn't been by much, so I'm thinking it is just in error.

According to FordParts.com, even though original equipment part numbers were different, they have all been reclassified under the same new part number for the front (1125) and the rear (2C026).

The breakdown:

2010 - 2012 Lincoln MKS and Ford Taurus
FRONT ROTOR (through 7/27/2010 for 2011)
Motorcraft P/N: BRRF-18

FRONT ROTOR (from 7/28/2010 for 2011 through 2012)
Motorcraft P/N: BRRF-75

REAR ROTOR (through 9/12/2010 for 2011)
Motorcraft P/N: BRRF-48

REAR ROTOR (from 9/13/2010 for 2011 through 2012)
Motorcraft P/N: BRRF-70

2013 Lincoln MKS ONLY
-2013 Taurus SHO information is not complete at this time

FRONT ROTOR (through 6/17/2012 for 2013)
Motorcraft P/N: BRRF-112

FRONT ROTOR (from 6/28/2012 for 2013)
Motorcraft P/N: BRRF-202

REAR ROTOR
Motorcraft P/N: BRRF-92

Again, even though there are differences in the original equipment part numbers, FordParts.com lists a new part number that covers all of the bases including the 2013 MKS.

FRONT ROTOR: 1125
REAR ROTOR: 2C026

2013 Taurus information is not complete at this time.

So if I'm reading correctly, as the owner of a 2010 MKS Ecoboost, I can purchase the 5508 and have the PP brakes on my Lincoln? That sounds like a good damn deal to me!
