AFR Gauge

Yeah; guess I didn't realize that because of where it is; it really only reads at WOT--which is what my install guy said; the cat apparently cleans it up quite a bit. I could probably put it pre-turbo and see it bounce all around.

Another video; I think the AFR isn't in the best place -- may have to take it back and get it mounted in that section of pipe between the turbo and cat.

Looking at the DP's I'm afraid I won't have room for EGT now.

I dunno, looks pretty similar to how AFR behaves monitoring with Torque and OBDLink.

I don't have either of those so I can't tell.

If you like to watch something bouncing around, one of the best I've tried (and kept) is STFT or Short Term Fuel Trim. That and it's sibling LTFT or Long Term Fuel Trim. Those guys are bouncing all the time controlling the AFR. If they are able to do their  job, the AFR pretty much stays boringly where it belongs.

Pre-Cat!
Install it on the front downpipe, piece of cake.

don't have the stft/ltft, maybe when add the obd gauge but you're right my afr is pretty boring. usually starts up just off 14.4 then bounces around a little then settles there unless on a true coast then will 19.9, that said a very important gauge to immediately show an engine issue. & storm like 4dr said had my egt on my factory dp's& my guy had no trouble putting it into the ppe catted dp's. now that's a gauge with a lot of action.

I'm planning to move it next week; car is getting left with guys while I go to Michigan for business. I need them to install the two EGT gauges as well.

I'm about to install my AFR gauge . So after reading this the best place to put it is on the front downpipe before the cat ?
