AFR Gauge

I got the AFR hooked up with PPE install; but I'm concerned.

With the Corsa system; we pretty much have a "dual" system so the AFR probe was installed on the bank closest to firewall.

I was driving and really don't see much; AFR was between 14.5-14.9 whole time; few times it hit 15.0; and few times with foot off the gas it would peg out at 16.0 full rich.

Anyone with an mechanical AFR attest to whether they see any type of AFR change? Maybe LMS has this thing tuned to such a point that we don't go lean/rich?

geswek

Probe was installed after the cat on left side downpipe.

It should normally bounce around 14.7 just driving around...if you floor it you should see about 11:1 to 12:1 depending on a bunch of factors....lower is richer higher is leaner...16 is lean not rich which is what it does on purpose when you are off the gas. Actually I usually max Torque out at 23:1 when off the gas. What range does your gauge cover??

It's wideband so I can set it to what it needs to be. Yeah it doesn't move at all on WOT.

I'm told it's because it's one bank and after cat.

It's beginning to sound like a useless gauge to me.

Sent from my mobile, I think.

You won't get a very accurate reading post cat unfortunately.  I would use a range from 9 to 18 for starters...

K.

I don't know what else to do. There was no room before cat because they are so dang close to turbo. It would have burned up.

LMS did tell me factory are before turbo. Maybe I put before turbo?

You should get some movement at wot even post cat in my opinion. Seems wrong it won't move...pre turbo is just fine if there is room it doesn't affect the AFR.

I can't go below 10.0 but I did go from 16.0 to 18.0 and now I'm seeing movement when I tap throttle at idle. It'd also moving while not doing anything. Fluctuate between 14.5 and 14.9

OK I'm definitely seeing more movement with Max at 18 just pulling out of garage. It was set for band 10 to 16. Do I need to increase my high?

ecoboostsho

The fluctuations are normal. Increasing your max can't hurt. I would be more concerned about not seeing it go rich when floored though.

I was seeing movement now it's dead. Just sits at 14.8, maybe car is warmed up and out of open loop?

You will still see fluctuations in closed loop especially with a wideband.I'm thinking you either have a bad gauge or the sensor...maybe faulty wiring but you could check that at the gauge I would think.

14.7 is the EPA standard for these cars.  I think your assessment is correct... If you are trimming gas in your '13, But should't take long to get there since the O2 sensors are electrically heated to
Minimize open loop operation.

I'm apparently an idiot.

Up the high end to 20; went out and tested. Hard to video because of light but you can see it. It doesn't move much until I actually do WOT then I see the gauge showing me what i need to see. I guess I expected something during part throttle; may just be my lack of understanding the gauge.
