E85 or 100 octane

Ok found my limit lol. At 40% I'm at lows of 850 psi for a split second after a shift. Then it'd back to 1800-2100.

That sounds more like Torque management during the shift.

Maybe that's what it is... I'll try to observe during the gear pull. Is there any certain gear that's best?

I'm pretty sure Torrie plays with the Torque MGMT so he'd be best to ask.

Since you see it just after the shift I'd bet money its during the shift because Torque's refresh rate is too damn slow.

That's what I assumed. Torque takes awhile to refresh. I know the car is slower right now than when I was around 30-32%.

Anyone know the octane rating of e98? I found a few mixed answers. Some say 116 some 120..

Wonder if I can do this... since the whole point of ethanol is its octane couldn't I just use less 98% to equal the same octane as a 85% would do.

I was thinking same thing. Another reason is it burns allot cooler as well as the octane

True, but it seems that RON/MON hit a brickwall around E50, i.e., it's not a linear gain out to E85.  So figure on topping out octane-wise at 102.  Don't know how you get to 116 or 120 octane.

After reading a few pages I found most say it's within those margins.

"E-98 consists of 98% Ethanol and 2% race fuel" - Wonder about the octane rating of the race fuel (I assume unleaded) used.
