I really like the RX system, my local speed shop recommended this
http://www.moroso.com/eb/catalog/search/advancedsearch.action?mustOccur=true&resetOffset=true&appn=&can=&modelFilter=&yearFilter=&pr=&searchTerm=85474
Anyone have an thoughts on it?
The Moroso, and the 30 some that are the same design allow as much or more to pass right through due to the design so even though you see it catch oil/gunk, as much or more is still being ingested. Watch their video. As the oil begins to saturate it drips down the right side of the container (the inlet side in the videos) at low vacuum, and then at high vacuum is pulled to the left side and some is pulled right up and out the outlet. You actually want to stop ALL this gunk, and only a few cans on the market do that. Then look at the capacity. It is app. 1.5 oz capacity....the videos of what the RX can catches in one week is 4-6 ozs, and the RX standard can is 12 oz's capacity, and the Monster can is over 20 oz's. So as soon as the tiny can is caught even some, it is near capacity and pulling all right through. Try this experiment. Take a wet wash cloth and put to your mouth, now suck on it. What happens? Water is sucked right out. The cans wit the 2 small chambers with media in them have no designated inlet or outlet, so the side used as the outlet has oil saturated in the media right tight on the outlet. It sucks many times the amount you can with your mouth, so what good is a unit that only catches a portion of this gunk? Put the RX can inline AFTER any of these cans, and the RX catches as much or more than the first can that is supposed to catch it all.
Very few cans on the market actual come close to catching all, and the RX system is the ONLY one on the market that corrects the PCV flaw the EB has allowing all this to accumulate in the crankcase. 80% of the time the EB is closed and no evacuation takes place allowing the harmful compounds to condense and accumulate. The RX system provides constant evacuation at all times eliminating all this to begin with.
It is critical to remove these byproducts as soon as they enter the crankcase before they can accumulate and mix with the engine oil:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPIfI9aZHt4Since the EB only evacuates at idle and low throttle, it is a very flawed system. No other system corrects this issue but the RX system that is why it cures all the following:
Unburnt fuel in the oil.
Water and gunk accumulation in large amounts in the CAC
Misfires and "shudder" d to water ingestion under WOT
Water contamination in the engine oil
Intake valve coking due to the ingested vapors
And more.
A can alone cannot fix the issues, and a can that allows as much of the gunk to pass through as it catches is only a "placebo" as most see oil caught, but are not aware of what gets pulled through these cans.
Ask any more questions before making a $$ mistake.
