I plan on doing the Megan Coil Overs for my 2010 this Summer.

Look'n at around August, unless some extra cash falls into my lap before then.

I do have a request though......

Can whoever is in communique with the Sales Rep or Design Rep form Megan Racing, could you please inquire about the following:

I heard that they have a product available, that essentially acts like some sort of extension cable, that can be mounted to the actual coil over itself, but the other end can be placed where ever convenient/desired by the individual vehicle owner, to allow easy access to "quick changing" the settings.

In other words, I really don't desire to have to repeatedly crawl under the car, or pull all sorts of carpeting or panels out of the way, and then be faced with limited space to adjust the coil overs as I see fit.

This would save a whole helluva lot of time, inconvenience, etc. especially when those of us who are going to be relatively new to the coil over world, will be trying to adjust them frequently until individually chosen/desired settings are obtained.

Thanks a bunch in advance! :thankyou:

I know such a product is available/offered, just not sure if it's something that Megan Racing can incorporate into the kits.

Again, I know this thread is for the 2013 and ups guys/gals, but it would be nice, especially since Megan Racing Staff has been recently enlightened that their Flex Products will cross over into the SHO realm (for '10-'12 years) if they can not only provide these alternate adjusting options, but maybe even revisit their offerings for the FLEX's and make a sellable, complete kit for all those '10-'12 SHO owners, without us having to jerk around any further on our ends.

Yeah,  I Concur.

I guess I'm the go between guy on this .

Ive seen such remote adjustable ( Wireless ) Coil-Overs but they are EXPENSIVE .

I agree Megan should sell a set that is truly bolt on For the 10-12 SHO , it would be any easy fix for them AND would increase there sales.

I will call Danny at Megan to discuss  these issues with him and let everyone know what I find out .

Awesome! Thank you! :thank you:

Also, for the record, I wasn't necessarily thinking of a wireless system to allow easy adjustability, but more so an actual cabled type of system that would act as an adjustable device.

Also  could someone post here EXACTLY what needs to be done to the existing Flex kit to make it fit the 10-12 SHO .
I have a general idea but need to be very clear on this when I talk with Danny .
Pics of necessary mods would be GREAT .

SHOdded is on top it. There really isn't much in modifying strut to fit our cars, its just a matter of enlarging the 12mm sway bar end link hole in coil over to 14mm.

Also megan sells a cable extension that we maybe able to use, so not have remover rear carpeting to access rear coil over adjustment knob.

Danny at Megan sent an email today to me to touch base on progress and I Sent a reply with a few questions .

Hello Kevin,

Just wanted to let you know I was able to arrange something with Mike so he will be leaving his car here while he is out for work. In that time I will get all the spec and dimensions I need to start making the kit for the SHO. I do not have a front bottom bracket that would work at the moment so I will need to have one cast. Once I confirm that kit, I will have a duplicate made to try on the Explorer sport.

Best Regards,

Danny A.

MEGAN RACING INC.

From me to Danny :

I Spoke with Mike the owner of the SHO that you had there last week and he filled me in on what happened.
He told me it will be back in your hands wed. The 19th and you'll have it  for two weeks for R&D .
Please let me know when you are ready for the XSPORT , there are two members willing to bring one to you.

Also there has been an increased amount of interest for a slightly modified version of the 09-12 Flex Coilovers so it could be a TRUE Bolt on kit for the 10-12 SHO

from member crash712us  There really isn't much in modifying Front Coil-Over to fit our cars, its just a matter of enlarging the 12mm sway bar end link hole in coil over to 14mm.

Can this cable fit these Coilovers ?

While at MR this morning Danny had asked if I could think of any other suspension components we'd like improved. I mentioned something about the strut tower bar for aesthetics purposes. Any other ideas you guys can think of?

By the way, Danny was kind enough to drop me off at the airport this morning. Totally unexpected.

A way to get some camber in front would be nice.

Specs should be about the same as the older Flex Kit .

On applications utilizing strut-type suspension designs, the Megan Racing Damper Kits come with fully adjustable Pillow-Ball upper mount camber plates to easily tune and adjust your camber, giving you a competitive edge over other suspension setups. This allows you to tune your car for any ride height and still adjust camber to improve handling, vehicle predictability and tire wear, which is a great benefit both on the race-track and on the street.
