I have access to Sunoco 260GT 100 octane unleaded gas .
I have not not talked with Torrie at Unleashed yet .... I believe he has a 93+ tune ....

Ordering an SCT tuner next week from him .

Changing plugs and Tstat as well .

Any thoughts from you guys on the power gains with this fuel and tune , my Corsa Exhaust  and adding non catted DP's in a few more weeks .

My first thought is higher octane the better, but I would weigh cost vs benefit.  I know the last time (and it has been a long while) that race gas was $7.95 per gallon, and I just couldn't justify the cost over 93/94 octane, and I wouldn't be able to have a constant supply so I passed.

no problems with supply issues here ...... they also have 94 and 96 and even 104 .. Primary thoughts would be track and grudge street nights in OKC

There are benefits to running the higher octane but to get the most out of it you need a custom tune for it. It will provide more dentonation prtection, allow you to add more spark which means more hp. The issues come in if you are not running that octane all the time and only for the track because then it will be mixed and not at the octane you are tuned for, unless you drain your tank completely and then add the 100 or 104 octane.

^^Great points, and regarding tunes, I've never been wild about changing tunes very often.  Once installed and working correctly I want to leave it alone.  But navbtcret makes very valid points and should be considered.

Torrie will tune for whatever you want.  I have his 93 tune as well as a custom 110oct race gas tune.  Took a couple nights of data logging, $100 in race gas and lots of back and forth emails but the tune is strong.  I only got it for track days but it's closed right now.

Have Torrie make you a 100 octane tune to take advantage of the fuel, do some data logs and pick up another 30-50 HP on 100 octane. :)

The solution for fuel that I have tested at E48 (50% E85/50% E10 91 octane) is the dual in tank fuel pump solution I have available with a fuel pressure regulator feeding the stock DI pump and injectors. The car worked great with this solution.
I can source all of the parts for you guys if you wish, right now you'll have to tap into the factory harness to feed the relays and use the factory fuel line as a return line.
I'm waiting for a returnless solution that would bolt in place easily, just waiting for Squash to finish their Uber Fueler. :)
That's 575 on pump gas for  you guys doing the math, easy, peasy.
Solution under $1000 and will easily provide enough fuel to do what you want without meth.
So kudos to LMS but I have a solution already that has been tested in depth on my vehicle with big turbos.

What about a combination of a unleashed tune 100 octane and the fuel pump setup you have come up with .. I'm not a fan of ethanol of any sort for personal reasons .

Do you have E-85 available?

I think my blend right now is at 96.2 octane (18.4% E-85), and of course it's far cheaper than 100. or even 93.

I'm wondering if Mr Torrie can do one of my tunes based on an E85 mix.

With Torque, it's pretty easy to keep my percentage pretty exact.

And i have E-85 3 minutes from my house...

Sure, 100 octane with the fuel pumps I have should net you enough fuel for at least 500HP on race gas. Just need the boost to handle it. :)

I have access to 100 oct fuel. Not far away, was wondering if there would be any benefit to adding half a tank of 100 to half a tank of 93 from time to time while running a LMS 93 tune on my XSport?
Would there be any increased benefit or just waste of money?
Thx

If the ignition timing is optimized for 93 oct....adding half a tank of higher oct fuel will do no good and may actually make your vehicle slower

No E85 that I know of.. Definitely nothing at the pump. Might have access to some thru some speed shops..
