that's what I have done with no problems. If I only have the option to buy a lower octane I just don't beat on the car and it has been fine.

If I could only find 91, I would just swap out to a 91 tune.  Takes five minutes.

Back when I worked in the Chevron refinery in El Segundo, CA the blenders that made most of the octanes would typically be off a little. Many occassions when the blenders were out for maintenance, the octanes were boosted higher. So a 92 min. reading means, that is just a minimum. NOT EXACT! You may actually be getting 93 octane. Same especially true with the lower octanes. When I used Chevron exclusively, my '87 Monte CArlo SS liked 91 octane better, but I always ran 87 since most of the time the actual rating was 89-90.

I tried loading software to tuner. Albeit I am using a work computer since I only have a MAC at home. I get error message of invalid installer. Is this the software issue or maybe a permissions problem from work computer? I know they do limit internet access to certain websites and such.

Sounds like you do not have permission to install software on your work computer (very common restriction).  Sometimes IT is willing to help you out if they know what's going on.  Otherwise, a non-work PC is your only option :(

Did you get the software EMailed to you?  You could try having them resend it just in case it got corrupted on its' way over.  Did you originally have it on your Mac and then transfer to the PC?

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I myself am not good with computers at all and I was having all sorts of problems trying to load the two files onto my computer. Sent a few emails to Anthony at LMS and he finally told me I may have to disable my virus file. I don't know exactly what I did, it did involve giving Norton permission to allow the exe file to load.
AT this point Im going to try and load the tunes into the car sometime when it
gets a little warmer outside this morning.
Maybe your experiencing the same problem with the virus protection.

I figure its just permission to install on work computer.

This explanation from 68_GT help me understand what was going on.

what happens is your installing the software on the computer that has access to their tuning servers. They update your tune on their servers. Then when you connect your tuner your software access your requested tunes files and loads them automatically to your tuner.

Problem is with the words for me. If you read the stage descriptions stage 4 and stage 4plus are radically different. I have two tunes on my tuner 91 & 93, I keep thinking I need to move up to the next stage. So what is it?  Do I have two tunes for one stage or am I trying to go up to the next stage. This whole time I thought 91 meant 4 and 93 meant 4+
I've been known to beat dead horses and am not proud of being a looser but it is what it is

Thus far I am tickled pink with the performance of the tune and upgraded parts

Octane can be dependent on whether the transport driver put the fuel in the right underground tank!  And.. is the station honest???  LOL

We need straight answers tread on LMS tunes for new comers and people looking into tunes

First there is no stage 4plus tune - only four v7 with 91 & 93 octane

What is that dyno sheet thing on the other tune thread that shows stock / 4 / 4+. That's way confusing. What is it really showing?

That dyno shows stock, Stage 4 and Stage 4+ on a 2012 SHO.  Really.

???
Here's my point - your dyno graph shows once again as much gain from 4 to 4+ as from stock to 4

So will I double my performance gains going from 91 to 93 tune

To answer my own question it's (NO)
The latest highest performance tunes they have for my car are 91/93

Going to 93 would be a very small increase over 91 like 10hp

You have a 91 Octane tune and a 93 Octane tune.  You have the best available tunes from LMS for a 13-14 SHO.  Forget about stages.  Pick either one of those and fuel accordingly.  The next upgrade will be the Xv1 for 91 and/or 93 octane. The Xv1 will not be available for some time.  I'm thinking Spring.
