Hey guys anyone with a boost gauge that is showing vacuum and boost? Some tuning shop hooked mine up and it is only showing boost i wonder if it is hooked up in the wrong place or something?

They probably hooked it up between turbos and throttle body so it will not experience vacuum.

For it to read vacuum and boost it needs to be hooked up to the intake manifold.

On the EB you can only measure one or the other (boost or vacuum) on a single gauge since the boost and vacuum are on seperate solenoids and everything is monitered by the pcm. Boost at line from turbo. Vacuum from brake booster.

This is wrong information.....you simply need to tap the vac line from the intake manifold

Tapping into the brake booster line against the top of the firewall will read both... Here's pics


Below is where LMS taps for boost guage, but not sure if it will show vacuum.... I know the brake boost line above will show both.

Well i have my gauge hooked exactly where u said as im writing and im only reading vac, no boost. And yes, my connections are tight with no leaks. Mind u, i have a flex so the SHO may be diff. I run 2 seperate gauges. Yes i know its dumb. I hate it. Lol

WOW....You have it set up wrong....All you need to do is grab a line that comes from the intake manifold....You probably are hooked up to the brake booster line after the check valves.

I'm not sure how you managed to check the volts for your 02's sensor's in the other thread but can't hook up your boost gauge!...Your 02 assessment in the other thread was wrong btw

I managed to do so with a scanner and im suprised u were recommended by others with the way u are. And how was i off other than the voltage. O2 sensors up front measures the 02 in the exhaust and adjust fuel trims accordingly so they are cobstantly fluctuating. Sensor 2 measures after the cat looking for a stable reading hoping it cleaned up the emissions. Fluctuation in sensor 2 may mean bad cat. So how is that assesment wrong? U bro are a dick who thinks hes better than everyone driving around a Taurus.

And did you really say in the other thread that u dont know how i managed to clean and check my injector? Hahaha And wanna talk crap to me??? Hahahahaha. Ummmm...i REMOVED them from their housings after removing the RAIL and INTAKE MANIFOLD. Simple mechanics. I appreciate all ur other inout2and suggestions, i really do, but ur credit is not standing with u. And im starting to question how much u really know about all this.

 I was asking how you cleaned the injectors because I don't think they are very serviceable. And If I was you I wouldn't base a lot of stock in your finding with your scan tool because it sounds like you are confused about what the readings mean.....That is based on the fact that you grossly misinterpreted the voltage scale of the primary 02 sensors..It just makes me question your troubleshooting and diagnosing skills.....Sorry if you interpret what I say as talking crap....It sounds like a personal problem.

Hahaha. You can clean them, yes. Sounds as though ur confused on how injectors function. And i can use my scan tool just find dude. Not saying im a whiz at interrupting the data hense why i turned this forumn which i now know was a bad idea. And if i were u id stop thinking im special  because my whole life revolves around being an elite member on 20 member forumn. Lol. And If you think thst last assesment i stated above about 02 sensors and cats was wrong then arguing with u is pointless. No personal problems, lifes good my man.

Your assessment of what the 02's should be doing is correct but the readings you are getting seem off...And I'm not sure how effective the cleaning of the injectors was...Sure they can be cleaned but whether or not that helps anything, I don't know....With these injectors and the pressure they operate at, typically it's a mechanical or electrical problem with the injector.

See, we can have a civil conversation. Yes, the readings im getting from o2s seem suspect but like i said, im still learning how to interpret that data so not sure how that plays a role in my problem. And as for the injectors, your right, who knows how well that cleaning processes worked (syringe and hose connected to top pressurizing cleaner through while pulsing injector off battery) but when i removed them there was build up on all the tips so after cleaning the tips i thought thouroughly cleaning them could help. But sure didnt. I think ur right about getting the update. Ive heard some things about that too

Do you have videos of the spray pattern before & after?  Pics of the injector itself?
